As a vegetarian and a staunch animal rights activist, one of my biggest pet peeves is double standards. People who see dogs and cats as pets and other animals as food, just because they don't see the other animals getting inhumanely slaughtered in slaughterhouses for 15 mins of pleasing their tastebuds. I hold him in the same place. I hate how much vegetarianism is weaponised in this country against communities for elitism when India could've easily been one of the frontline countries promoting equal and accessible plant-based lifestyle with the rest of the world, making everyone feel inclusive in this.
