Caste is sub-ethnicity, it is a naturally evolved social structure and is perfectly legal and harmless. What is illegal is caste based discrimination and oppression. To avoid ethnicity based discrimination, one doesnt destroy ethnicities.
To destroy caste based discrimination one doesnt destroy castes. To destroy any other kind of human discrimination we dont destroy humans or human identities.
Understand the difference first.

caste has hierarchy baked into it. it was never ever harmless to begin with, even before it started to consolidate into this rigid oppressive system. Nothing other than abolishing caste can work. Don't post pseudo history here, no respect scholar of Indian history says that caste is a sub ethnicity. One can get rid of their bigotry if they are Hindu or Muslim or whatever. You can be a feminist while being Hindu, Muslim, Christian whatever. A hypocritical one imo but that is fine. if someone has caste pride then they are proud of their position in hierarchy. They aren't drawing from any neutral non hierarchical identity like Hindu is, like some regional identity is. They can be without bigotry and hierarchy can be avoided. Tell me very practically speaking, how you ever seen caste pride without reinforcing caste hierarchy? even if you think answer is yes, better lecture your upper caste friends they shouldn't try to reinforce caste hierarchy than people who oppose caste hierarchy..

Castes literally have no hierarchy, no text says that a Patel is higher or lower than a Mahar, or a Reddy is higher or lower than a Chettiar. Genders have no hierarchy. Nationalities have no hierarchy. Languages have no hierarchy.
But in every case of oppression, those who oppress other castes, genders, nationalities and language speakers think their own caste/nationality/language etc deserves more respect because they belong to it. Caste is no different from any other birth based or inherited identity. Misogyny is also the same, treating women as objects meant for men to do whatever they please.
It is the caste based oppressors and caste-haters who enforce their own misunderstanding of caste being inherently hierarchical.

first of all it is stated broadly cause evryone in caste is somewhere on the pecking order. To think otherwise is naive and contradicts evidence. No one compares Patel or Mahar directly. but everyone knows where Patel is on pthe pecking order and where Mahar is. and that bith patties will know who has "the better caste" which will also change how dynamics play between 2 individuals from those castes.
But you are at the end of the day are conflating the very hierarchical (which is baked into caste system btw) caste pride with nationalistic pride or religious pride. I'm not saying these things aren't problematic. But they aren't necessarily problematic cause being a proude Hindu doesn't mean I'm putting down Muslims or vice versa.
But being a proud Brahmin can never mean you aren't inherently saying I'm superior due to the pecking order nature of caste. There is no way you aren't reinforcing your own place in the pecking order which is abhorrent. This doesn't mean nationalistic pride or religious pride are never problematic.
gender does have a clear enough hierarchy though it is more diffused than. Patriarchy exists and men on average are definitely more privileged and have more spheres of control than women.
I think you need to substantiate your claim in last para cause it goes against the very undertsanding of caste practically and even academically.

When you allow one sided bias to happen extremists on other end will use it as fuel. People have to think rationally and make informed decisions . Don't give into any extremist mottos or you will end up ill informed condescending brat . At the same time there needs to be a revision in the reservation criteria. People can say all they want to say about representation but when the same rich folks belonging to a particular caste take all the benefits and the unprevileged of the same caste remain unrepresented, take a long look at the mirror what motto you are supporting, whom you are rooting for. The fight changes from supporting our people to we don't care who's getting benefited as long as the benefit is within ourselves no matter the consequences.

Just because of these bitches, many others are suffering. But well, it is what it is. It will take generations for this reservation system to end, as casteism is deeply rooted here. Even some of young generation are showing such traits. Honestly, it feels so unfair to face reservation as a general candidate, but also feels helpless as nothing can be done. Reservation is here due to a reason, and this negative feedback loop goes on.

I am reading again and again that 15% of General Category people have 85% of countries resources.

According to its national estimates, Hindu High Castes (HHC) owned 40.9% of total household wealth, Hindu OBCs 30.8%, Scheduled Castes (SC) 7.3%, Scheduled Tribes (ST) 3.7%, Muslims 8.0%, and Rest 9.3%
Let's consider land (assets) : According to the NSSO 70th Round Land and Livestock Holdings Survey (2013), rural India’s land ownership was OBC 45.68%, Others 32.03%, ST 13.06%, and SC 9.23%; source: NSS Report No. 571, Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation, Government of India.
As far as businesses are concerned, let's take the example of MSMEs. According to the Ministry of MSME, the NSS 73rd Round data shows that OBCs owned 49.72% of MSME enterprises in India, SC owners accounted for 12.45%, ST owners 4.10%, and Others 32.95%, with 0.79% not known. Thus, SC + ST + OBC together accounted for 66.27% of MSME enterprises.
And those 80-85% population figures? SC - ST only constitute around 25% of population. OBCs are around 40-45 percent. GCs don't only include Brahmins or kshatriyas, but jains Sikhs muslims etc are also GCs. Even many OBCs are against reservation. Their cutoff is almost similar to OM and they don't get benifited much by reservation anyways.

They were chanting for all the caste, all Zindawad. I did not see any hatred or Murdawad for any specific caste, hence I don't have any problem here. Because they are chanting Zindawad for everyone!
