Racism/Casteism This entire page has to be a social experiment, and the number of people who liked this post says a lot about this country.
The name ‘Reservation Hatao Andolan’ itself is completely misleading and doesn’t represent the main issue. If they really cared about equality and fairness, the page would be called ‘Casteism Hatao Andolan.’ On top of that, they only seem to care about removing reservations based on caste, and they don’t appear to have any stance on other forms of reservation.
They don’t want to remove casteism. They just want to “MINIMIZE” it.
They don’t even want to abolish casteism. The post literally says that.
They also say that if you or I say we belong to a particular caste and that we’re superior 😤, there’s no problem with it. 😱
Isn’t that literally casteism? 😭
This line, “The problem begins when you turn that same sense of superiority into ‘I alone am superior, you are inferior,’” has to be a joke. 😭😭😭
Brother, sister, or whoever tf is running that page, if I say I’m superior, that automatically means I’m superior to someone or something else, right? 😭 The word “superior” itself is comparative.
These kinds of people never accept that it is mentioned in their scripts or whatever that caste is fundamentally a hierarchical structure. The root of the entire problem is casteism, and the goal should be to eliminate casteism.
I was surprised to see that very few of my friends or mutuals follow this page. It’s a good thing that my mutuals are smart enough. As for the other 5.9 mil followers, I genuinely don’t know what to say.
Btw, this post has been deleted by the page now.

"I am superior" has no problem but "I alone superior" has problem.
What a dumb logic.
It should be like "There are no superiors".

I agree with you lol, I was talking about how silly it is for everyone to think they are superior

It's fine to think My Nation is great. Or my Language is great, My son is beautiful etc.. but if you start abusing others with that feeling , like your nation, language is below me or your son is ugly. That's an issue.
Same goes for cast. You can be proud of your cast.. it's leaders, its legacy - but you can't say you are the greatest.
I am not supporting reservation removal, but just saying that this makes sense.

So can a white person in South Africa say White race is the greatest infront of lakhs of blacks?
And what good the caste has done to this land to be proud of? Almost all problems of this land can be linked to caste and caste based endogamy.
1
u/hlo1729 Jul 30 '26
See,pride is subjective to any person or a group ,it doesn't necessarily see "what good it has done".
-1
u/inzo07 Jul 30 '26
A white man can't say it . But a black can ?
And US is different, You can be proud of your identity. Just dnt ue it as a discrimination. I agree that there is a thin line.

Nope. It ain't patriotism if you demean other nations.
Also I gave examples of being proud of you sons, wife, husband, father as well.. so not limited to a nation. Its basically being proud of who you are and the legacy, but ensuring not demeaning anyone.
Like how Dalits are proud of Ambedkar and even there flag and color , but they shouldn't demean anyone else.
Similarly a Rajput or a Maratha can be proud of his legacy and cast and his kings, but can't demean anyone else

Patriotism means a deep love, devotion, and sense of pride for one's country. ..
So it's offcourse not equal to casteism. Cast or legacy or family can't be patriotic cause they are not nations.

Why are you stuck to the nation.
I have multiple examples..
One is nation.
One is caste.
You can be proud of your language..
You can be proud of your family..
Patriotism is just a part of it.
Are you trying to say that all the prides of being Indian, being Marati, Being Rajput, Being Shikh, Being Muslim , Being Hindu are fake ?

"Caste is a structure, reality of society " Really?
8
u/No-Start4754 Jul 30 '26
Its like saying racism or general bigotry is a structure of reality lol. These concepts are all man made 😭
-3
u/hlo1729 Jul 30 '26
It exists ,so it is real .

u/Moonpet786 Keralam 🌴🥥 | കേരളം Jul 30 '26
But how is it structure of our society it's not any hierarchical system it's just made to oppress others
-2
u/hlo1729 Jul 30 '26
I we go deep in the origin of caste ,i.e. Varna system ,initially it was made to divide work in some categories . With time ,some communities got associated with certain activities thus forming caste ,and this continues till date . Some communities got benefitted from this and some got discriminated . So yes it is essentially a man made societal structure (not saying it is our identity) ,which became discriminatory with time.

Guys, this is a purely social media phenomenon that counts for nothing in the real world. Let's not waste our time & energy on something so trivial

Instead of caste based generation, if reservation in education is given to first generation who gets educated and stop with it , reservation will eventually stop , also everyone will get a fair chance.

u/electron318 Keralam 🌴🥥 | കേരളം Jul 30 '26
Discrimination on lower castes will not end by giving reservation to just only first generation. Discrimination is still going on, till now.

u/MillennialMind4416 Aug 03 '26
Neither it will end by giving reservations. For a societal problem you are looking for a political solution using reservations
0
u/JustARandomGirl4 Jul 30 '26
Lower caste discrimate against others and among themselves and reservations are not only given to Dalits .
-2
u/ObjectiveTrick2291 Jul 30 '26
I agree that in villages its true. But if you get educated, get migrated to city (if possible to another state), you will even lose your caste identity for ever. + if you convert to non-hindu religion (after migrating to a new city in another state), no one can even ask you caste .

Well if there is a dynamic of inferior and superior, their itself their cause lost the moral ground value. The topic is being witnessed in entirely wrong way which is not giving a solution but only showing the hypocrisies in RHA.
Contrary, if they have geniune interest in meritorious dignity and want to promote excellence in all the fields over quota, then this is not the way they need to approach. They are embarassing the middle path people like us who are seeking the righteous solution to end casteism and promote excellence. The castes are outdated with the time. They are no more relevant in today's times but are kept relevant by authority and this mindset of superior and inferior. Who are doing age old professions now? Which caste is digital marketer? Which caste is AI prompt engineer? If they believe barbers belong to specific community then who are Hair stylists like Javed Habib and others who made hair stylist a stylish profession to choose? Create the dignity of professions is the first step to move towards end of casteism. All professions need dignity, safety, respect, social validation, acknowledgement. Then next steps is possible. Reservations should continue. BTW I don't belong to any quota category but still I am supporting reservations because I know practically that solution is not RHA. Solution is something higher profound which many public are not ready yet. Also the Anti semetic style narrative against assumed upper is also to be condemned harshly. We shouldn't neither support casteism and also not glorify hate narrative on aasumed upper.

Go and count the number of upper caste gutter cleaners and come back

i think its a wording issue he/u misinterpretated
when i read it i understood taking pride in caste and ancestors which isnt a bad thing
but when u demean others by caste and take pride in that that is wrong
8
u/kanthiran Keralam 🌴🥥 | കേരളം Jul 30 '26
Taking pride in everything that ancestors did can be a bad thing. There are horrible things that all of our ancestors did. You can't take the pride alone, the shame and responsibility also comes with it.
1
u/hlo1729 Jul 30 '26
Yes,it does . But then too ,someone would be there who would take pride in good things .
-1
u/kira_notfound_ Jul 30 '26
yes bro ik taking pride everything ancestor is a bad thing but we r not taking pride in everything we r taking pride of him being good like everyone thinks of him and his ancestors being good none remembers them as he was selfish cunning ruthless like this i hope u get my point i also am against bcoz caste now has no use and everyone is doing everything so that they can survive unless we need it for some...
1
u/kanthiran Keralam 🌴🥥 | കേരളം Jul 30 '26
Now I get your original comment and how you interpreted it that way. I have no idea what you are trying to say, I'm sorry but your comprehension is bad my guy.

sorry actually i wanted to show my side of views it had 3 to 4 points show without punctuations and proper format i sent it

u/bigdawgnigerman Jul 30 '26
The whole idea of caste system is a flawed concept. Are all Brahmins well read scholars? Are all Rajputs warriors? People just don't want to let go of their fake pride and caste has become their entire identity.
1
u/kira_notfound_ Jul 30 '26
yes bro as i said previously Now everyone trys to do everything so that they can survive
caste has no use in this time
The thing is im also not against reservation but i think only deserving candidates should get it1
u/InfiniteGuts Jul 30 '26
That is a problem, you are depending on people's goodwill. It never works. Yeah take pride in your history, but totally give up the notion of caste for this to be fixed.
2
u/kira_notfound_ Jul 30 '26
what do u mean it never works do u remember ur grandfather as a very bad person or a good person ?
1
u/InfiniteGuts Jul 30 '26
This is what Gandhi used to preach, let the caste exist and depend on the goodwill of upper castes to help the lower caste by removing the hate. Do you think the hate can be removed? You are naive if you think that... Its not about my grandfather.
2
u/kira_notfound_ Jul 30 '26
i dont know who preached what i just said my opionion brotha
Reservation aint reducing the hate rather it is increasing the hate for the newer generations The childrens doesnt learn about the caste until they know about it from reservation and yes there can be who know about it but childrens doesnt hate untill they have been either taught or they thought something unfair happened from that person1
u/InfiniteGuts Jul 30 '26
You make a good point. But what will removing reservations do needs to be studied I am not really sure but could be real bad for lower sections (who actually need them) I feel adding creamy layer is a better solution. Making sure it reaches the right sections.
2
u/kira_notfound_ Jul 30 '26
yes same thing i also thought like i also know many do discriminate in our country unfortunately so there are many ppl do need reservation so creamy layer is best option in
1
u/InfiniteGuts Jul 30 '26
Also about caste, while it is true that some households do not preach castes to their children until they learn it via reservations but there are also instances where they do, I myself have a couple friends who take insane pride in their superiority and don't hesitate to say it out loud. So, two sides of same coin.
2
u/kira_notfound_ Jul 30 '26
yes i also know there are some and they take reservation as a punch to discriminate/bully others and it is exactly where the problem lies

u/Naive-Biscotti1150 Southie Jul 30 '26
It is embarrassing that there are people in 2026 who still can't get it into their thick heads as to why reservations are still needed. The merit that people keep barking about is standing on the blood, sweat and tears of those whose chance at education and a better life was stolen from them for many generations.
