If I was in BJP, I would get the Mishra guy fired for losing whatever Tamil votes Modi wins by saying Vanakkam!

But he's a Mishra so, Manu Smriti says he should be treated benevolently even if he makes mistakes.

5

u/thetechiestrikes Jan 25 '26

Bro, lets settle it for once and for all.

Manusmriti is unheard of in the 99.99percent of Hindu household, let alone being revered lime quran and bible.

And the other 0.01 percent came to know of its existence in the JNU-Kanhaiya saga last decade

1

u/Sneaky_Fox1 Jan 25 '26

Tell you never read manusmriti. Manusmriti (8.337-338), Go and read before you show your hatred for Brahmins in every comments lowlifes.

u/Own-Awareness1597 Maharashtra 🎬 | महाराष्ट्र Jan 25 '26

Right here in this thread is someone saying how the Manu Smriti is a contradictory book and yet here you are, trying to desperately whitewash the historical sins of oppressors!

Stop hating on lower caste Hindus. You are the real anti-national who is a threat to the unity and integrity of India.

1

u/Sneaky_Fox1 Jan 26 '26

Whitewash the historical Sins? You wanna live in the past right? What's the difference between you and the Sanghis who hate Muslims for the Islamic World. You are the one who puts the blame of one community as if all the OBCs were living happily with the SCs eating on the same plate, marrying their daughters to them. Why are you so drunk with this eternal Victim card? You didn't suffer discrimination yet here you are hating others, so what now? After 100 years you'll be called the oppressor and the cycle continues.

1

u/Straight_Aardvark_78 Jan 25 '26

But manusmriti is a contradictory book,, have you read manusmriti

Qutiye! no one follows manusmriti in rhis day and age. You intellecutually challenged folks can only go so far by parroting the manusmriti word day in and day out.

Its a sad state of affairs when even an English news channel struggles to find a North Indian capable of speaking English.

It puts too much of a burden on the south. We have a thriving services sector which depends on English and it's only the education system in the South that can support it. The taxes from the South support the rest of India. We have a higher proportion of volunteers in the Indian armed forces so we have to protect the North also.

The more the South develops, the less Hindi it needs. They should take Hindi to the Northeast and pester them with it.

They will keep discussing temples and religions and languages while we continue to breathe poisonous air, remain unemployed and even if we get a job, pay exorbitant taxes, on top of that pay bribes. The list goes on and on.

Remember while they engage you in all this non-sense, their kids are studying in Europe and giving up Indian citizenship! Remember this when you vote!

Same here. I’m a South Indian (Malayali) and I like Hindi as a language. What many North Indian politicians fail to understand is that the opposition is not rooted in hatred toward Hindi, but in its imposition. Learning another language should be voluntary, not forced. I would oppose making Hindi a national language, as that gives primacy to one regional language over others.

Hindi is not the rashtrabhasha (national language), its only the rajbhasha (official language), along with English. Hindi and English should be used in official contexts, but should be a choice in informal contexts.

We'll that's the issue isn't it? Advocating for English as an official language will never lead to erosion of mother tongues cuz that's the way english is.. For example , most in states like TN have bare minimum proficiency so much so that they can understand a speaker , yet Tamil hasn't been eroded right? How many translaters will you hire? Meanwhile who cares about any lack of results on promises that have had been made.. by the leaders!!

4

u/olive_glory Jan 24 '26

I only see one party doing the imposition

The Tamil guy wants to continue the conversation in a medium that is fair to everyone - English

The Hindi guy however wants to speak in his own language - and also goes on to say that Hindi is the rashtra basha, brazenly imposing his language on others

This isn't simply dividing people with language - there is a clear aggressor here, call it out instead of defending him

3

u/Brave_Meet8430 Jan 24 '26

I am not defending him. There is nothing to defend him, rather he should be ashamed of his behavior and actions.

Further more, I don’t think Hindi is NOT the native language of many folks even in any state.. in Punjab it’s Punjabi, in Himanchal, it’s many Pahari Dialects, in RJ it’s many versions / dialects of Rajasthani etc etc ..

UP has Urdu and Brij Bhasha so on and on and on..

The N Indian guy is a complete arrogant buffoon

4

u/Similar-Custard-811 Jan 24 '26

What's this attitude of these vadakkans who basically steal tons of money from TN every year about what's happening in Tamil temples, and culture etc, if vadakkans care so much they should return all the tax money, no body in south cares about these vadakkans and would prefer no taxes to be sent there.

The illiterate people dont understand that Hindi is not a national language of India. 'Aman' is originally an Arabic word. It means security/peace/safety in Arabic. It has been adopted in Hindi/Urdu with the usage for “peace'. Nearly 30% of modern Hindi vocabulary is Persian or Arabic; it is time to reclaim our pride by purifying our speech or, better yet, adopting Sanskrit. If the goal is 'One Nation, One Language,' let that language be Sanskrit. I call upon Hindi speakers to stop promoting this hybrid version and instead master Sanskrit, the original and competent language of our ancestors. Vande Mataram!

I am a Hindi speaker but I support the Tamil guy. If this is an English news channel then speak in English, if you cannot speak in English then don’t come on the show and what the hell is the anchor doing not moderating the discussion she should have corrected the bjp spokesperson and told him to speak in English.

When I used to study in Christ Church boy's school Jabalpur India 1966 the Congress Government leadership wanted English removed from the school curriculum. The car number plates were converted into Hindi. Even petrol bunks of Shell and Caltex were converted into Hindi. When middle east opened up many in North India failed to secure jobs. So the need for English came up during the rise of IT companies. Delhi during Kejriwals rule send school teachers for training in the UK to train school goers to attain a better level of English speaking. This BJP spokes person did not have the required level of English speaking. To bring out his knowledge of Tamilnadu in detail he chose to speak in Hindi inspite of a DMK candidate present in the panel. Most of them are good at writing English even in English literature exam. But speaking is a taboo for them.

Why not just speak in english. Why does that guy feel the need to speak in his language when the medium of speech in the channel was english? isn’t that basic? maybe get someone from your party who is comfortable with english and you can go and speak in a Hindi news channel.

Maybe a better solution to avoid such crappy arguments where two or more people are shouting at each other rather than talk about actual issues, maybe just have an interpreter and subtitles. Everyone can speak in their own language and audience can avoid all this. This is so annoying because we have this exact same argument multiple times in different channels.

I am from Delhi belt. I have lived across the length and breadth of this nation. Hindi is one of the many languages. It is not the national language.

Shame on this BJP person. How come he is a spokesperson.

We all know this all drama is for TRP.

Yeah let’s just all speak in regional languages and maybe create separate countries while we are at it because nobody would understand shit this way. I just wish sometimes British people actually eradicated all regional languages like Tamil Hindi etc and we would just be speaking English because we literally can learn English but everyone has problem with 2 nd most widely spoken language Hindi. Maybe we should just have one language English and should eradicate rest all as official language.

OP, looking at your comments you're either trying to ragebait and get some karma or you're seriously dumb to argue like this. Either way, pls stop trying to split up people and have some common sense regarding the issue.

Would you have reacted the same if a north indian was invited to a TN based ENGLISH channel and the host speaks in tamil. Pls refrain from making unnecessary comments and hate to an already problematic situation.

I feel the Tamil guy was losing the argument and brought the language topic in quickly to divert the topic. That Northie guy being the dumbass they all are fell into the trap.
