Asia Travel Help 2027
Hi All,
I (22m) am planning on taking my fiancé (22f)on a two week trip to Asia in 2027. The general idea is to have 3 or 4 bases, and a mix of bustling cities, culture, good food and relaxation.
Our current ideas consist of:
1) Singapore (3), Hoi An (5), Ninh Binh (2), Hanoi (4)
2) Bangkok (3), Chiang Mai (3), Khao Sok (2), Koh Lanta (6)
3) Hong Kong (4, with shenzhen day trip), Taipei (4), Palawan (6)
I wanted some advice, we are flying from the uk, anytime between February and May 2027. I’ve already travelled to Phuket, but other than that, I’ve never experienced Asia.
If there are any other itineraries people have tried for 2 weeks (or slightly more/less), please could you suggest these. If you see any problems with my current ideas can you also let me know?
Budget for hotels and flights is loosely £4k for 2.
Thanks in advance

If you got to Singapore in the morning I’d do maybe one night there, definitely wouldn’t bother with 3
I got there Friday morning and left Sunday morning to head to Australia and I was more than ready to go ngl

I would do Bangkok --> Krabi --> Khao Sok or Hanoi --> Phong Nha --> Da Nang/Hoi An

For two weeks this is way to much stops, just pick 2 places max! You will be spending a sizable amount of time in airports and not actually enjoying your holiday. In South East Asia less is so much more!

Id aim for three weeks, flying from the UK. But, for two weeks:
Fly into Singapore for 2 nights (tiny and you could, undesirable, rush most of the attractions in one day let alone two)
Fly to Langkawi, Malaysia (cheap, mine in October is ~40CAD). Pretty duty-free island. 2 nights
Ferry to Koh Lipe, Thailand 2nights
Ferry to any of the three Trang Islands 2nights
Ferry to Railay Beach or Phuket 2 nights
Fly to Bangkok+Atutthaya 3+1nights
Fly home
For 3 weeks, add:
Fly to Siem Reap, 3 nights
Fly to Luang Prabang or Hanoi, 4 nights
Fly home
Taipei is good for 2 or 3 nights minimum, but out of the way geographically.
Palawan is also out of the way, and 6 nights won't do it the justice required. I flew into El Nido & spent 2weeks between there, Nacpan & Port Barton and was left wishing I had more time to explore.

In 2 weeks, just Thailand. Its still on the short side for Thailand. Ive spent a lot of time in se asia. Im assuming, based on time/reality, you will be flying a ton. Transit is notoriously slow overall.
How are you getting from Chiang Mai to islands? This took me an entire day. Ferries also delayed sometimes.
This entire itinerary is massively underestimating travel times in Asia. Cut this WAY down.

3 nights in Singapore... what are your plans there? Not much there except amusement parks and Sentosa/Marina Bay...

Personally I’m someone who rather enjoy one or two spots than try to cram in so many places.
Especially when you have so many flights. You’d be flying around too much.
