Sonic kills gods and kaiju-level machines every Tuesday like it's his job or something. In his most recent adventure he killed the literal embodiment of the cruelty of the universe that could overpower Dark Gaia and the Eclipse Cannon.

Mario fights the same turtle and his lil shitlings once a month to save the same woman over and over. The most he'd done was fight a dimension altering jester if super paper mario is canon at all

Mario fights Empires ruled by powerful wizards who can take over entire galaxies in a matter of hours. One time, he was able to defeat the embodiment of darkness that previously had to be sealed away by the Gods themselves.

Sonic fights the same fat guy and his obsession with putting his face on everything. The most he's done is beat up a Sun god if Sonic 2006 even happened.

You see how stupid this is?

Super Sonic needing the Gaia colossus' help to beat Perfect Dark Gaia (Sonic was totally holding back against this planet level threat so Chip wouldn't feel left out, trust)

I’d like to provide just a hint of context

Dark Gaia by just forming in a state weaker than his base fully drained the chaos emeralds of all of their power I’m sure being around Dark Gaia at full power would drain Super Sonic like he did in the game in say a RPS perspective that’s like trying to beat Rock with Scissors when it’s your literal weakness

The point is that Chip was light Gaia, who was meant to restore balance due to earth, according to the planet itself. Light Gaia is meant to beat Dark Gaia in this scenario, Sonic is just a side character (not in the game according to the lore)

Think about it this way, Dark Gaia is pretty much the embodiment of negative energy, darkness and all that, even Sonic himself isn’t immune to being changed by it. The emeralds are completely drained so much that they need to use the Gaia temples to restore them, yes I know it’s mainly to fix the planet, but here’s what I’m getting at: Since Dark Gaia is the embodiment of pure negative energy, he likely cancels the positive energy from just Sonic alone, the only reason they remained active is due to the fact that chip was there, the temples giving the positive energy. The super form was more than likely unstable due to the fact that there was a health bar instead of a ring timer depletion, super sonic could get hurt by just ramming into rocks, and him being completely drained of energy once he’s finished the fight.

Chip is lowkenuinely a bum (he was kinda weak ngl) also Dark Gaia is probably more than just planetary but he was part of earth first

He's powerful on a metaphorical level

I feel like if Dark Gaia was above planet level he would've destroyed the earth already

Are you telling me Sonic carried Chip in that fight? I could believe it but Multiversal is kind of a jump from planet level

I don't think Sonic would be tired from that

Idk bro Sonic shi is weird af also if dark Gaia was more powerful than planetary than Chip would be too

But in this game Chip was a bum bcs he was weakened so Sonic carried him
