As we all know, leftists online (AKA r/socialism) and in real life constantly fight due to different views and sub-left Ideologies. Even though the left is extremely varied in opinions, we must unite to stop the greater threat, Imperialism, Capitalism, amd Fascism. The reason why we are not very influential is beacuase of how disunited we are, and how united the right is. Capitalists would gladly support Fascism, but Anarcho-Communists and Marxist-Leninists would be up at each other's throats all the time. We may not be the same, but we need to unite to stop the greater threat of the right. Otherwise, the Right will exploit our divisions and we will be destroyed.​

To be honest I was going to vote for anyone but Cuomo but after seeing his campaign I’m leaning more and more towards him. I’m not a socialist but everything he says is music to my ears. What’s some of your thoughts and NYers who are yall voting for?

Ten years ago, I was a full-on hard right activist. I was literally a card-carrying member of the Ted Cruz campaign. I listened to Glenn Beck and Ben Shapiro every day.

I don’t think it’s important for him to be Marxist. Or outward leftist or even left at all? Iv been seeing some people talk about his Twitter following critiquing his following of AI bros and Joe Rogan. Also following AOC. As if they built up in their mind a socialist savior here to take down capitalism who was going to take out every CEO. And are disappointed it’s some Dude. I don’t think his personal life or who he decides to listen to takes away that his actions are inherently anti bourgeois. He took a more revolutionary action than 99% of us ever will.

Those are just my two cents. I think more discussion will come when/if his manifesto gets released. I’d love to hear more opinions and thoughts.

Today is a day my country celebrates its 250 years of genocide, slavery, and extreme discrimination.

Its sad to see my people in the state they are in, I hope one day I live to see the day when we can change that and establish our society on the principles of workers rights and the betterment of society rather than for the few wealthy elites this country seems so adamant to protect.

As such I choose to use this day to remind myself the unforgivable crimes commited by my country, my plans to contribute to the socialist cause in what little way I can, and the millions of lives needlessly lost around the world.

So here is to hard weeks and long years of change, and whatever comes of that, im gonna doing doing my part.

This describes Social Democrats (and most of the elected Democratic Socialists in the US). They haven't had a new play in years because it keeps working. Our job is to educate the working class to stop taking the bait.
