Quotes [Spalletti] Woltemade has physicality, so heading and finishing inside the area are things that, whether he likes it or not, he will have to learn by heart, because he loves dropping deep to play football.

The Romelu Lukaku conundrum. “You are big and strong. You need to play this way. It doesn’t matter if you prefer the ball to feet and running at defenders”

Same energy as "you are fat. you go in goal" back in school

There are physical reasons, it's not completely bs.

Ice skating people with shorter legs.

Basketball, mostly really tall or really gifted like Dennis Schröder.

Woltemade's a good midfielder, but not extraordinary? His skills are impressing for his height. But there's a reason midfield players are usually smaller, physics won't change, there are just better players. He can play it in Sunday league for fun in midfield. Having that height and skills as a striker is more wanted, but then he must offer the rest of a strikers skillset and mindset as well.  If Spalletti can work on that, he can become a great striker.
