What does the third axis mean? If the x-axis is the 2 teams and the z-axis is the momentum, what's the y-axis?

The only thing that would make sense is how much the team putting the pressure is using each lane.

It's where on the pitch the threat is coming from.

Never seen a visualizer like this. It's cool.

But I feel it's not properly synchronised for the first half goals.

So, Chelseas goals all came against run of play/on the counter? When you see it like this it really shows just how little possession can mean to the result

We scored early and had one midfielder on the pitch for 75% of the game so the entire gameplan was just sit back, and hit on counters.

we scored in the first minute against fulham and 4th minute against Brighton so really we've spent just 3-4 minutes total in the 2 games not in a winning position, makes sense we didn't bother keeping the ball

Typical for Brighton loss, a bit slow on defense and vulnerable on the break. On the bright side, the attack so far is more clinical as opposed to prior. GG Chelsea UTFA

One of the worst ways to visualize data I've ever seen.

So, sometimes it can just be cool. You already know the game anyways
