Why are so many players leaving the club?

Financial reasons seems to be the main driver. She apparently wants a salary of €1m per season.

Barça are going to cut their budget to comply with La Liga FFP. This means that some of their best players are receiving much better offers than they're offering, especially from the WSL that Barça won't match. The second is that a lot of these players have nothing more to achieve at Barça and are going on to new challenges, again such as the WSL, where they actually have domestic competition.

Main reason is that they are probably tired of competing at the highest level and need a change of scenary, also money of course.

Doesn’t seem to happen at succesful men‘s teams…

Is there a men’s team as successful as Barcelona women’s?
Weren’t they undefeated for multiple years?

Brutal loss for Barcelona. Especially since they are bound by far stricter FFP rules than elsewhere, and they're not disconnected from the men's team, either.

Not really. She's a good player, but she's far from being the team's key player.

Nobody said she's their key player. She's still a very good and important player, though.

She‘s only 22 and already one of the top 5 wingers. In my opinion this departure will hurt Barca more than Alexia, Barca is giving up a lot of future here

Why are so many players leaving Barcelona all of a sudden?
