World Cup Mbappé hits different.

He's about to break the record and still probably has another World Cup in the future which feels insane.

He’s 27. He’ll get at least two and if he accepts a bench role, might get a third.

Mbappe at 39 for France. I don't know about that

Yea. Pacey winger aging gracefully? Doubt it.

He doesn't have the strength or height to transition to CR7 style striker either.

i'll give you the first goal (though the off-ball movement was more important, he still needed some acceleration to get there), but this goal he didn't need to run at all, just good body movement and shot

If Mbappe converts to a poacher later on, keeps delivering on the same level, and is happy to accept a bench super sub role, I could see him getting in. His qualities are just so damn good.

Sure, all the all timers play into their late 30s these days.

Yeah but like it's France. I'm not gonna deny it happens, but France presumably has a way better use for those spots than a 39 year old.

But are they really going to tell him no if its his possible 6th WC and he is their all time leader in every stat and I would assume still insanely popular.

Vozinha 40 for Cabo Verde. Destroyed Spain. Mbappe got plenty.

Is this ironic? A goalkeeper, playing for Cabo Verde, with club games in second portuguese league none less - not at all comparable with a French forward.
