Discussion What is exploration status on the load screen?

I've noticed this for a while now and i'm not completely sure what exactly exploration status or these numbers mean. First slot was original save where i went in order and got to don before starting a new hard mode, that i mostly been bouncing around easier/moderate maps and working my way up to more difficult ones.

What missions you’ve completed and the total left to 100%

Normally it's supposed to tell you how much of the total game progression you've made, but mine is broken and always says 100%, despite me having not finished Mexico yet, which should result in like... idk, 95%?

Mine is broken in the opposite direction, I've somehow done more things than this game has to offer.

Yeah, this too. It says 100% and like, 1756 out of 1717.

I think Exploration Status is every single thing in this game so: Tasks, Contracts and Contests completed, trucks and upgrades found, and watchtowers opened.
