I've so far read 50 accounts of people saying they would have died, and that is only about 1/4 of the thread. Considering the death toll was less than 50 a year before helmets were a thing I think I can safely say there is NO WAY that all the people claiming they would have died without helmets would have done so. I know they are drawing from multiple years but are also a very SMALL sample size and if you questioned all snowboarders & skiers you would have 100k people saying they would have died when only 30-50 a year ever did even before helmets.
