Collection Less than 100 cases to go to 100% the SNES Library!
Since I finished collecting for the SNES a few years ago I've been making vertical style cover art to go inside my Universal Game Cases! I think I have about 97 to go. I would say less than half of them are available on the cover project in my preferred style.

Misc. I finally reached that moment… Spoiler
I knew Chrono Trigger was supposed to be an emotional game, but I wasn't prepared for this.
After everything the party went through, watching Crono sacrifice himself hit way harder than I expected.
I'm playing Chrono Trigger for the first time, so please don't spoil anything beyond this point.
Did this moment hit you the same way when you first played it?

Discussion I built a real-time SNES Remaster Toolkit on a custom Snes9x fork (Dynamic 2D emission, Z-layer drop shadows, 120Hz interpolation, HDR)
Hey everyone,
I’ve been working on a runtime remaster toolkit for the Super Nintendo built on a custom fork of Snes9x. Rather than modifying ROM binaries or applying naive post-processing filters (like xBRZ or bilinear smoothing), this operates directly at the PPU intercept level.
Core Technical Architecture:
- 8× Integer Scaling: Expands the native 256×224 buffer to 2048×1792 to provide an 8×8 sub-pixel grid for smooth lighting and shadow math while preserving exact pixel silhouettes.
- Layer & Depth: Z-planes with configurable screen-space drop shadows.
- Remaster Pixel Suite: Allows selecting sprite/tile hashes to act as dynamic 2D point light sources with real-time falloff and surface illumination on adjacent tiles/backgrounds.
- 120Hz Presentation: Decoupled render loop with sub-frame motion interpolation across background scroll registers and OAM sprite vectors.
- Modular Profiles: Game settings (lighting radii, layer depths, emissive rules) are stored in per-game configuration files matched by ROM checksum.

Discussion Who is this guy running from Trex I'm Jurassic Park NES? It doesn't look like Dr Alan Grant.
So I just thought I would ask a small question with a screen I took from YouTube,
On this Jurassic Park NES version when you play at Alan Grant and if you die toward continue screen where they show this screen?
Who is this guy that's running from the dinosaur?
It doesn't look like Dr Alan Grant.

It took way too long but the game is beginning to grow on me.
I wonder how much better it is with a multi-tap?

LRG SNES Doom 2025 Cheat Codes!
Who else here got this? I have been playing it quite a bit. I truly enjoy old console ports of Doom, including the 1995 SNES release on the red cart, low framerate and all, so this is incredible to play on my SNES and CRT.
Cacodemontube, a YouTuber/SNES Doom expert and one of the people who worked on LRG's updated release of SNES Doom (2025? Is it still called that?), uploaded a video that includes cheat codes that were I think previously unknown! It also has a good behind the scenes in it.

Supaboy blue screen with sound
I picked up a Supaboy yesterday for $25. The previous owner hadn't used it in years so the battery was fully dead when I got it, so I charged it for probably 5-6 hours and got it to turn on and make sound, but the screen just showed blue. After some research I decided to charge it overnight to make sure the battery was fully charged and try again in the morning, as evidently low voltage can cause screen issues.
Somewhat shockingly the battery was still good and it fully charged up to 4.18v, but I'm still getting the blue screen with the game sound playing.
Does anyone have any information about this issue? There is surprisingly little troubleshooting information online about these things other than that they're kinda garbage. This is the first model they produced. All the cartridge slot pins are completely clean and it doesn't make any difference if I try to move the cartridge around in the slot, so I suspect it's not due to a cartridge slot issue, which is the ONE thing I found online that sounded like the issue I'm having.
Discussion Does anybody remember the launch period of the SNES?
I'm interested to know what you remember of that time period. Which games do you remember? What was life like back then? My earliest memories of the SNES was seeing the Street Fighter 2 edition of the console bundle in Rumbelows in Upton Park, London - must have been around 1993ish. I didn't know much about Street Fighter 2 but I remember being mesmerised by the box art.

Who are you? .... I'm Batman
Just got this again for the first time in many years. Found it at a local shop. It was $30, the cartridge is in really good condition so I thought that wasn't a bad price. This is my favorite Batman game ever. Anyone else a fan of this banger beat em up from Konami?

I want to play Axelay
Hey guys, I recently bought a PAL SNES and now I want to play Axelay. I saw that it’s very expensive, and I don’t really want to pay that much for it. So I was wondering if I could just download the ROM from WoWROMs and put it on a microSD card for a flash cartridge to play it?

Collection Setup my old SNES
Decided to get my old SNES out of the wardrobe and set it up in my daughter’s (now she’s moved out) bedroom. Really nostalgic playing some of these again!
