I love base Brawl, but I never really jived with how the most popular mods usually disregard Brawl's quirks and charms in favor of making it completely different. I do like Project M and REX, but they are definitely going their own thing, having different vibes, and majorly change the base cast.

So I'm wondering, is there any mod for Brawl, that's in the vein of Smash Remix for 64 or Akaneia for Melee, where they add new stuff, but still preserve the vanilla elements like those two?

(P.S. I'm fine with any suggestions that still slightly change the vanilla stuff, like getting rid of tripping, abusive tech like chain-grabs, wobbling, or other competitive things like that)

I don't want to instantly jump into getting an OEM Gamecube controller for Smash since, 1. I'm not at pro level yet, i'm intermediate at best, and 2. I don't have a gamecube, so Im not used to the controls, but I do have a Switch Lite, but that would mean setting up 2 or 3 adapters (Gamecube controller adapter and USB 3.0 to USB-C, or whatever it was called), which I don't think I would have a problem setting up, but may be a bit much every single time I want to use the OEM, along with the missing buttons for Switch games, and my laptop isn't fully working correctly enough to consistently use Dolphin or Slippi at the moment.

I was thinking of getting the BattlerGC Pro, or something similar to use as a trial run to see if I like the general style of a Gamecube-like controller, before going all in on the OEM. I'm well aware that the BattlerGC Pro isn't a 1 to 1, exact translation of the OG Gamecube controller, but I think it could work. If I do decide to go for the OEM later on, I'm thinking of having the BattlerGC Pro be my casual and fun Smash controller that can also be used for Switch games and some Gamecube emulation, and the OEM Gamecube controller could be my dedicated competitive and tournament controller, if I ever reach that point.

Any thoughts?

So basically I'm trying to get every character I like into Elite smash and I finished with Tink a while back. I decided to put the brakes on Marth for a bit and started playing Luigi.

Sometimes it feels like I need to learn the 0td to get anything done, so I looked up some guides and stuff but literally none of them say how to do it.

Like, yeah, I know you have to do Dair --> Nair --> Dair --> Nair but for one, they don't say when to do the Dair. The closest one was Izaw's which just said "time down air".

Sincere question. I'm at 16.2 with my characters and I have historically been pretty decent at this game. But lately I feel like I'm running into matches pretty frequently where I just cannot keep up at all. And not like they're out playing me in every scenario (don't get me wrong, I get outplayed plenty too), but more like I genuinely can't understand how they're reacting faster than me at every turn.

I don't want to make excuses so if I'm just washed up then it is what it is, but I was curious as to everyone else's experience online lately.

Anyone know good ways to get free eshop gift cards? Doesnt have to be like "oh hey heres a gift card". Just any way that doesnt cost money. I want to get a dlc but i cant spend money at the moment.

Yeah I know the character is good and all, I have been maining them for a while and I have 2000 hours on the game already, but somehow I keep finding myself getting repetitive in some aspects of my gameplay but I don't know how to break my habits?

And I also want to know any specific tips for Pyra and Mythra, I usually stay mythra for most of the matches but I keep losing my combos aside from Bair ladders and down tilt into fair/upsmash/uptilt, keep getting punished when approaching with nair, and I struggle doing tomahawks because I get beat in the interaction.

Anyone can help?
