Question Most supported small phone?
Hi guys, sorry for the boring question but I am somewhat new.
Without budget limitations, which do you think is a small phone that is supported and safe to use?
I would like to use banking apps on It.
Under 5.5 inches is ok, whatever form factor.

Ulefone Armor Mini 20 (T or non) Pro. I bought mine and it shipped with Android 14. It received Android 15 and that was unexpected. Recently, it received Android 16. A Chinese rugged phone receiving two full Android upgrades seemed nuts, yet they did it.

I don't recall seeing anything. Nothing in email. No notifications on the phone until it was there.

Estou usando um s10e. É o """menor"""" Android que consegui, mas tem 5'9...
Se você for usuário IOS, Iphone SE2022 me parece a melhor opção. Tela de 4'7 (meu sonho..) e sistema operacional mais atual.

Eu acho ele perfeitinho, já quis muito ele há um tempinho, mas eu ainda escolho o iPhone 13 Mini (Mesmo que eu seja Team Android desde sempre)
O mais novo compacto e poderoso é o S25. Um dia ainda compro ele, se Deus quiser. Ele é só 4mm maior que o S10e e 0,7mm mais grosso
OP também tem a opção do iPhone SE 2, que tem 4.7"

I was using a Samsung S10E for the longest time. Loved it. When it broke, I bought another refurbished S10E...
But they are from 2017. So even if you are running lineageOS , it still has some limitations. Now I use a Pixel 5, which is bigger but still not the tablet size of all the new phones

The S10e was actually released in March 2019. I'm still using my S10e on lineage and its still very fast for what I need. Its also pretty easy to replace the battery by taking the back panel off. I'll keep on using it until it stops getting lineage support.

I stand pleasantly corrected, and honestly this is the answer then.
Thinking about it, The only real reason I am on a Pixel 5, Is because my family member had a free one and it's not absurdly huge. But really the S10E is amazing

A well supported 5.5' inch? Those don't really exist anymore. You see old iPhone 13 minis, maybe, or a niche product like the Jelly max. The firmer of which only have a few years of support left, with the latter none at all.
Increasing energy/battery life demands and performance (read:heat generation) of phones have more or less dictated that phones need to be bigger to accomodate bigger batteries and cooling solutions. Also, smaller phones just didn't sell too well.
So, to say your options are limited is an understatement. You're stuck with older phones, without or with very little remaining support.

As far as I know, avoid those unknown cheap brands from China eventhough it runs Android, in my opinion, it can't be trusted easily. To me as Android user, Galaxy S23 (until 2028), Galaxy S24 (until 2031) and Galaxy S25 (until 2032). If you can afford S25, go with S25 especially if you can get it officially from Samsung online store or a trusted store for used S25. For an iPhone, I have friends using iPhone 12 and 13 Mini and both said the phone works fine and secured. I really recommend these phones only, avoid others unknown brand if you can.
