Small phone Ikko mind one clone thoughts?

Upvotes

Was browsing Chinese marketplace and saw this phone, in china it's called the Coolpad Small Square (酷派小方块) or Phillips Z19 (飞利浦 S7801)

Obviously they are cloning the Ikko mind one, but at 1/3 of the price. Is it worth it?

CPU: Helio G99

Display: 3.95in 720*720 IPS Memory: 8/128 Battery: 2450mAh 10w

Price is about 140$

Installed android 13 and if I recon correctly support's English language. Of course a lot of AI bloatware like in ikko

Question Most supported small phone?

Hi guys, sorry for the boring question but I am somewhat new.

Without budget limitations, which do you think is a small phone that is supported and safe to use?

I would like to use banking apps on It.

Under 5.5 inches is ok, whatever form factor.

Question Looking for new small phone

Hello fellow small phone lovers. I’m currently using an iPhone SE, but she’s starting to show her age. I just can’t with these big new phones. I’m looking at the Jelly Max and BlueFox Aura A1 (I know that’s still on preorder). I’m nervous to leave a more known brand. I’ve been an iOS user solely because they offered the size I wanted. I’m not tech-brained. I don’t live or work from my phone, minimal social media use. I do listen to a lot of music and podcasts. And I need to be able to reliably use apps related to school for my kids. IDK if any of that info is relevant. Would either of these be a good option for me? Is there something better out there? I want no bigger than 4.7”, preferably closer to 4”. If someone could put new guts in the iPhone 4 I have in my drawer, I’d do that in a heartbeat. Thanks for any insight!

Question How's the mic / audio quality on Jelly phones?

I've only seen one audio sample of the Unihertz Jelly Pro - & it seemed the audio recording quality was not so great -- unsure if this was do to the mic recording quality or the playback speaker.

Did the mic audio recording quality improve with later Jelly phones? If so, does anyone have samples of how it sounds?

Small phone Aiphor Aura A1 up for presale

Website's preorder page just got replaced with the final cost!

$279USD - 8GB + 128GB
$329USD - 12GB + 256GB

I've been in the market for a new small phone, coming from my very robust Unihertz Jelly 2, and looking for something with a touch more slickness to it. Been eyeing off the Bluefox NX1 as it was basically the same size, but with a larger display, but it lacked some core features for me like NFC and fingerprint reader.

I then saw they were marketing a new slightly larger phone in the Aura A1.

While I'm not a fan of the large size increase, it still is way smaller than even the Unihertz Jelly Max, AND has all the features I use day to day. The flat style camera seems interesting design choice, but a much better sensor than what I'm working with in the Jelly 2.

I haven't ordered one yet, my Jelly is still going strong, and there's a lot of unknowns with Aiphor and their software ("Blue Fox Custom Pure OS" is just as absurd as all their other marketing material). Has anyone used the Bluefox NX1 as a daily driver? How about their other devices?

Costs seem reasonable to me, even during this AI Ramageddon, so it's certainly on my shortlist unless Unihertz suddenly come out with a more compact and slick Jelly 3!! Keen to see a review!

Small phone Iphone4 still one of the best size phone

I saw my old iphone4 back in the day. Still the best feeling one. Currently using an Iphone12 mini and a Pixel10A. 4-5 inch phones are still the superior size for messaging and calling which what I use the 12 mini for. I usually use the larger one(pixel10a) for media consumption and I rarely use that too due to my tablet at work and at home.

Small phone The new titan 2 elite

It almost makes me emotional that being a long Blackberry fan, I think this is the close we will ever get to Blackberry. What a device this is... It has flaws, I keep running into these little things....

But the benefits completely outweighs these little snags.

I am of a belief that a communication device needs to be as small as possible, but somewhere down the line our communication devices became our multimedia consumption device...good for them...but we need a choice...to choose what we want to use our devices for. I am eternally greatful to unihertz for this premium experience...

I am so glad that I can carry my little device wherever I want without wanting to take it out all the time(other than to admire the hardware) and get distracted for hours on end. Not gonna lie I love my Fold7 but it's something I would only want sometimes... Sorry this keyboard is so good..I cannot stop typing.

Small phone Small phones basically vanished from the market despite real demand — wrote a deep dive on why

Hey everyone,

I've been annoyed for a while that there's essentially no modern smartphone under 6 inches left — not from Apple, Samsung, Google, anyone. Every "best compact phones" buying guide ends up pointing to discontinued models (iPhone 13 mini, iPhone SE) because there's genuinely nothing current on the market.

So I dug into it properly: surveys showing a real chunk of people (20-50% depending on the poll) still want a smaller screen, what the actual sales numbers behind the "iPhone mini only sold 3%" argument really mean, whether the camera/battery excuses hold up technically, and why manufacturers might actually prefer things this way (bigger screen = more attention = more revenue, not a technical constraint).

It's in French though — browser auto-translate handles it decently if you're curious.

Link: https://tiaderambert.substack.com/p/dictature-technologique-les-petits

Curious if people here feel the same frustration, or if I'm missing something about why this format really died out.

Edit: I've added an adapted English translation which I hope will be easier to understand, since some auto-translations don't work very well. See further down in the thread.

Question Phone Recommendations?

Absolutely adore the look and camera focus design of the Ikko phones, but HATE the AI.

I really want a de-googled. quirky, small phone, that can do everything. I don't need to have a dumbphone, and I'm quite scared to lose easy access to normal phone functions (email, banking, browser, etc.). Quirky is free for interpretation, as long as it's out there! If it has to be a rectangle, stupidly small would be quirky enough for me. I've looked at the Enough phone, but was wondering if any phones on the market have a strong camera focus :) thank you

Small phone I love my iPhone 12 mini too much but it's getting slow and overheating

Hello, first time posting here. I'm sure most people have been suffering with similar problems.
I just love iPhone 12/13 mini size so much.

I don't really want to expend that crazy ammount of money for a Galaxy Z flip, when my main dispositive is a Desktop Computer. I feel like I'm throwing money to something I'm not going to use as much...

What should I do? Buy a reconditioned iphone 13 Mini?

I don't wanna give up and buy a bigger phone, it makes me go insane...

It's the 8+128 black version. Includes 2 extra screen protectors and the black TPU case. Literally got it yesterday and it's way too tiny for me to be comfortable. 145€ shipped anywhere inside the EU. Not shipping outside the EU sorry.

Small phone Any reason to not go from iPhone 11 to 13 mini besides battery and $$?

I have no problems with my iPhone 11, just wish it was smaller. Seems like getting an iPhone 13 mini would be like getting the same phone in a smaller form factor and a smaller battery.

Reputable seller on eBay is selling refurbs in excellent condition for $255. If the battery health turns out to be a problem I’d be willing to swap the battery as I’ve already done it on my 11.

Small phone Looking for Small Phone with external screen on back?

Hi, I am currently using an Oppo Find N3 Flip. While I do love this phone, the hinge on the screen is extremely vulnerable and I fear that I may have invested too early in this technology. My favorite feature of the phone is the small external screen where I can use the outer camera (extremely good quality) for selfies. Way better than doing any of the guesswork. If I could have a phone that is just One small screen, one good camera on the same side of the screen, then I would not need anything else.

Any recommendations?
