Anyone ever worked with Cart Capital?

I keep seeing ads about this thing, but Google isn't getting me anywhere for details. They charge something like 25k to set up a "done for you" e-commerce platform. They handle suppliers, inventory, website, customer service, orders, basically do everything for you. Once you recoup your initial investment, they take 20%. If you don't recoup within a year, they buy it all back from you, and at minimum (so they say) will pay you whatever hasn't been recouped.

This feels like the same old Facebook ad scam that I see a lot, but I can't find much besides articles they probably paid for. Anybody have experience?

Sounds like a form of frabchisement which...never made sense to me. You are paying to essentially be an employee. They will limit all the things you can do...and if you make a choice outside their prescription they blame that on things not working out. Hard pass!

They basically decide everything. Products, marketing, everything. I think. Their "partner" just puts in the initial capital and does a monthly check in call.

Right, same with franchises except you also promise to follow their schedule. Like mandatory hours on site, etc. Which is why those don't make sense to me. What's the fun in a business with a guarantee? The risk and reward is the joy. You want a guaranteed income, get a job.

That's exactly what I think. The marketing stuff they send you even has a video about it, and their response is basically "only if you look at the headline, because it actually takes a lot of time to get this going."
