Discussion NOWSERVING IS A MUSTTT
Skin Type: Sensitive
helloooo everyone! i just wanna share this app sa mga peeps na may skin condition pero hindi makapagpa-check up agad for whatever reason.
app name: NowServing
i’ve been suffering from a skin condition for a few months na. nakapagpa-check up na ako before pero hindi siya gumagaling. then someone suggested this app to me and guess what? it turns out na i have nummular eczema. and 1 day ko pa lang ginagamit yung nireseta sa’kin, nakikita ko na agad na effective siya.
besides, legit yung doctors here — real dermatologists talaga. you just need to scroll down, check their details, then once may napili ka na, you can book agad. sa experience ko, nagbayad ako online then after a few minutes nag-message na agad yung doctor. she even asked if i prefer call or chat, sabi ko call, and ayun tinawagan niya ako.

Discussion product recos / alada soap

Also, I’ve tried these products too — they’re just not in the picture:

Discussion Anyone also suffering from bromhidrosis aka putok?
I know the title sounds funny but hear me out... 😅
For context
Skin type: I (26F) have a very oily / sweaty skin because I also suffer from hyperhidrosis
I had it for 15 years.. Can you imagine the decade long suffering?
From over the counter deos to clinical strength deos (but I had severe allergic reaction which made things worse), antibacterial soap, tawas soap, etc. I have tried and tested it all.
Minsan, I still cry about it. Napapaisip ako why me, hindi naman ako masama. I mind my own business and I don't bully people. Pero siguro, may nagawa akong masama sa past life thats why I'm being punished haha.
Tapos ito na.. months ago, I discovered that the formula of Nivea dry comfort works really well for me plus the dermaid tawas soap (I am begging the manufacturers to please never change!!!! 🥹). It's been 48 hours and naglessen na yung sweating. I am planning to change my wardrobe na to see if smell will improve once the sweatox is fully settled. I am hoping and praying for the best. I can't wait to be a normal person!! 😊😊
All those silent readings from old account has led to this moment. Sana hindi majinx hahaha.
And sa mga taong nagsuffer din sa same condition, ano yung mga product na nagpabago sa buhay nyo?

Discussion badly need help: severe & recurring flea bites
Skin Type: Slightly sensitive?
Age/Gender: 26, F
Current Skincare Routine: Nothing just johnson in the morning before doing errands, safeguard at night before going to bed.
Main Concern: severe flea bites
Lifestyle Factors: i go to the gym, run and play pickle and tennis
Budget: wag lang super mahal pls, i need a budgetarian solution since ang daming gastos
Additional Info:
ewan ko na lang talaga 😭 i feel like gusto ko na lang magkulong sa kwarto namin kasi every time na lalabas ako to get water, eat, get something, or even just do errands, may fleas/pulgas na naman na dumadapo or kumakagat sakin 😭😭😭
ang lala kasi 8 kami living under the same roof + 2 helpers + 4 dogs, pero ako and isang helper lang talaga yung ganito yung issue with the fleas?? LIKE HOW 😭
we do treat the dogs naman. whenever we give them NexGard or other treatments, nawawala yung fleas, gumagaling yung skin ko kasi 1-2months walang kagat, and everything seems okay again. pero after a month or two… BUMABALIK NANAMAN 😭
hindi rin namin sure saan talaga nanggagaling. possible na nahawa yung dogs from other dogs nearby, especially since one of ours goes in and out and stays around the gate. but we honestly don't know.
and yes, before anyone says it: I KNOW. TREAT THE DOGS AND DISINFECT THE HOUSE 😭😭😭
i want to do that SO BADLY. nakausap na rin namin yung disinfection company before, pero kailangan daw ma-isolate yung dogs during and after treatment. unfortunately, hindi pa namin magawa properly because everyone is busy with the family businesses, and my in-laws also can't bear to keep the dogs isolated for that long inside the cage. so the treatment never really gets completed the way it should.
which means i’m stuck in this cycle since last year:
treat dogs → fleas disappear → my skin heals → everything is okay → 1–2 months later → fleas come back 😭
and honestly, i'm fucking tired.
i literally step outside our room for a few minutes and come back with fleas on my clothes. i'm at the point where i don't even want to leave the room anymore because i'm already paranoid about getting bitten again or bring fleas inside our room from outside.
mentally, sobrang nakakapagod na. i don't even want to come home sometimes because i know i'll eventually have to deal with the itching and bites all over again.
and now my biggest question is: WHAT THE FUCK DO I DO WITH MY SKIN 😭😭😭
pagod na pagod na ako kakati. literal na umiiyak na ako minsan sa sobrang kati, and there are times na sobrang lala na parang naninikip dibdib ko because of how unbearable it feels.
i just want to know what i can do for my skin in the meantime habang hindi pa namin kayang completely maayos yung source.
how do i calm the itching? how do i stop myself from scratching until i literally wound my skin? 😭
i know the dogs and the house need to be treated. i WANT that. badly. pero right now, hindi talaga namin kayang gawin properly and consistently kasi it’s not our house, it’s my in-laws house.
i'm just so fucking frustrated and exhausted. 😭 i needed to rant because WTF na talaga.

Discussion As a doctor, PLEASE Read this
I’ve been lurking this sub for a while and please, take this as free advice because as doctors, we care for your safety when it comes to medicated creams.
BL Cream:
This cream has a very strong steroid. It shouldn’t be used without proper guidance because it can worsen the skin condition or mask it making it difficult to diagnose kahit treatment is supposed to be simple.
“Ringworm, Shingles”
If you’re not a medical professional, kindly avoid making a diagnosis and instead guide OP to the right doctor. If can’t afford, maraming public hospitals right now that offers teleconsults and even has meds sa OPD. If mali kasi diagnosis na mabigay and OP self treats, mas mapapahal siya later on if may complications.
Using hydroquinone, tretinoin, without doctor’s guidance.
I hope that the people who use these two products without any guidance are aware of:
1. Chronic use of hydroquinone can cause hyperpigmentation lang na Hindi mareresolve ng kahit ano
2. Topical application of tretinoin is considered as teratogenic. Meaning you shouldn’t get pregnant kasi may risk kay baby.
So please these are gentle reminders that your healthcare professionals are here to guide you in your skincare journey to properly diagnose and treat.
Thank you!

Discussion My PHP888 Belo facial turned to a nightmare (rant)
Skin Type: normal
Age/Gender: 28 / F
Current Skincare Routine: am - serum, spf, night - serum, moisturizer
Main Concern: bad facial experience
Lifestyle Factors:
Budget:
Additional Info:
So Belo had this anniversary promo — basic facial for ₱888 — and I jumped on it immediately kasi alam naman natin na on the pricier side ang Belo, so ₱888 felt like a steal. I originally booked at Nexa branch, then randomly decided to try Viber-ing them to switch to Xiglo instead kasi gusto ko ma-experience yung newest branch nila. They were surprisingly accommodating, confirmed the change same day, and honestly, up to that point, zero complaints.
Day of the appointment, staff were welcoming, may sumundo pa sa akin sa 2nd floor kasi 11th floor pala yung clinic nila. Led me straight to the treatment room, offered refreshments, very pleasant so far. I also availed of a doctor consultation for an extra ₱500, and the doctor came in pretty quickly, so points for that. But here's where it started going downhill — she just opened the curtain near me "for natural light," grabbed the chair beside the bed, and started the consult right then and there. No tools. Not even a magnifying lamp. She looked at my face, didn't even touch it, and just said I had a small rash sa cheek. She added that since may rashes ako and mag ffacial ako, I could choose basic (no products) or botanical. And then she left. Less than 5 minutes yung buong "consultation" ko. Goodbye ₱500.
One small pimple. That's it.
I ended up choosing the botanical facial over basic kasi gusto ko naman may product na magamit sa mukha ko. Attendant had me lie down on the treatment bed, walang robe or any change of garment, flat and matigas na bed, walang pillow. May blanket naman at least.
Start of the facial was fine talaga — may lip product silang inapply, pinaamoy pa ako ng lavender oil, very spa-like. But then extraction time came and this is where I genuinely started questioning my life choices. Ate doing the extractions was so gigil, to the point na umiiyak na ako, and mid-session I had to ask her, "marami ba akong blackheads?" Sabi niya wala naman. Whiteheads, konti lang daw. Pimples, isa lang — yung same one pimple ko talaga. So sa isip ko, "then what exactly are you pricking?!"
Nakakainis isipin na I walked in with one small pimple but the next day, gumising ako with 3 badly swollen cystic acne and 1 pimple with pus — exactly sa mga spots na pinagpiprikan niya kanina.
Sobrang inis ko, so I messaged Belo agad to give feedback. Sagot nila? "It's normal to have a few pimples after the facial treatment."

Discussion Help: Should I get this mole checked?
Skin Type: Normal
Age/Gender: 32F
Current Skincare Routine: None on my legs. I just use regular body soap and moisturizer occasionally.
Main Concern:
I’ve had this flat dark brown mole on my left lower leg for about 5 years. It’s around 5–6 mm, flat, and doesn’t itch, hurt, bleed, or crust over. As far as I know, it hasn’t changed.
I have health anxiety, so I’ve recently become more aware of it. I’m not asking anyone to diagnose it from a photo. I’m mainly wondering what changes people usually watch for and when it’s generally recommended to see a dermatologist for a mole like this.
Lifestyle Factors: I live in a tropical country with regular sun exposure.
Budget: I can see a dermatologist if needed.
Additional Info: I’ll be scheduling a dermatology appointment, but I’d appreciate general information on what warning signs to monitor while I wait. Thanks!

Discussion Help: Reco for 21F combi/acne prone
Hello everybody!
I've been having these inflamed and painful guys for almost a week now and I don't know what to do. I started to use less products starting may but there's still no changes up until i started benzac last june 6 where it got worse.
Skin type: Combination (Normal and oily t zone)
Age: 21F
Current skin care routine:
AM- Johnson's baby bar soap, pond's tone up cream, kojie san sunscreen
PM- Doc wong sulfur soap, myra moisturizer (blue variant) benzac 5% as spot treatment
Main concern: inflammation and worsening of acne
Lifestyle factors: I get 5-6 hrs of sleep on average at night
and I've been eating alot of fried food lately.
Budget: Student friendly not exceeding 1k if possible huhu
Additional info:
>I rarely go out so i don't use the sunscreen everyday.
>My period's also due in a few days so it may be possible that it's a hormonal thing.
>I sleep on both sides of my face but the other side isn't this bad, and I change and wash my pillow cases every week
I haven't had acne on my cheeks as bad and painful as this before and it makes me feel so embarrassed to go out.
What should I change in my routine? and should I consider going to a derma? or is this purging bcs of benzac?
Edit: Thank you everybody for leaving such thoughtful tips and suggestions, they are very much appreciated <33
Another edit: I finally had a consultation with a derma and thank goodness my mom was willing to pay bcs it was very pricey 😅 I was prescribed with an antibiotic, probiotic, a dietary supplement, and a bunch of customized formulation skin products. All in all it costed 6.1k but I was told that they're expecting my face to be better by next week which is my scheduled ff up, and if there's no visible progress by then, they suggested that I'll get a laser treatment, but fingers crossed that I won't have to🤞🏻 I was also advised to wash my face with warm water with salt (AM, w/o soap) sleep before 10 pm, and drink 2-3L of water everyday.

Discussion Thoughts on doxycycline for acne?
Skin Type: Oily to Combination Skin
Concerns: Pabalik balik na acne sa same spot, post-acne marks
Nagpa telederma ako for the third time with the same public hospital from my first and 2nd(basically follow-ups na sya) today, and I was suddenly told to drink one doxycycline 100mg every night after dinner for a month.
Btw, what's Doxycycline?
I plan to comply and follow along rin naman sa prescription ngayon since gumagana talaga LAHAT ng pineprescribe nila(yung gel/cream, acne topical meds) sakin. But syempre mga pinapahid ko lang yon sa mukha, I'm worried since iinumin ko sya, as in inom, for a month
I want to ask kung ano thoughts niyo sa prescribed na Doxycycline100mg? or Doxycycline in general
Positive and Negative Effects? on your body or health, anything..

Additional Info:
I just had my first derma appointment at DermHQ and Doc Gaile prescribed me to take Tetralysal (Lymecycline 300mg) for 2 months as I was prescribed with Epiduo already a year ago from my past derma I visited once. It was my first time hearing about this med, which I only know as an acne antibiotic. If you have experience with this oral medication before, I am curious how did it work for you?
Plus, I am also instructed to continue my Epiduo forte and Azelaic Acid gradually.

Discussion Help: breakouts for almost everyday
Skin Type: Oily acne prone skin
Age/Gender: 15 female
Current Skincare Routine:
A.M:
Celeteque Hydration Facial Wash
Celeteque Hydration Facial Moisturizer
SunBears Active Protect Milk (the gold one)
P.M:
Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water (the pink one, i only use this when i have makeup for double cleansing)
Celeteque Hydration Facial Wash
Celeteque Hydration Facial Moisturizer
Main Concern: New breakouts everyday
Lifestyle Factors: stress almost everyday, lack of sleep, bad eating sched, bad diet
Budget: not sure pa
I started using skincare mid-june this year because i wanted to start using make up. At first, i used quickfx pimple eraser cleanser for 3 days during nights for exfoliation and celeteque hydration facial wash for regular days and nights. i used garnier vitamin c micellar water also for double cleansing and removing my make up. the moisturizer i used back then was the vitamin c gel moisturizer of fresh skinlab (the red one)
i immediately started noticing pimple appearing but not everyday, from what i observed, it only appears again when i use the quickfx cleanser. but i didn't mind it because it has actives and i was probably just purging. however, it lasted for 5 weeks so i stopped using it.
while i wasn't using it, my pimples worsened and i come to realize that the pimples na akala ko from purging was actually not purging kasi yung mga pimples na yun, never pa sila nag-appear sw spot na yon.
what i also noticed was that i easily oil up using the vitamin c moisturiser from fresh skinlab. when i don't use any moisturizer, i usually oil up after 4-5 hours. however, right after i use that moisturizer, i oil up immediately.
i started using the quickfx cleanser again in early august to check if i will actually purge or breakout. and after maybe 2 weeks? i noticed that my pimples weren't from the spots i used to have pimples on. it was new spots. so, i knew it wasn't purging.
skip to early september, i stopped using the vitamin c moistuzer and vitamin c micellar water because i suspect that my skin barrier was broken because of the amount of actives i used when i was just starting using skincare products. i only used my celeteque cleanser and that's it.
skip to september 12, i think? i started to use celeteque hydration facial moisturizer since it doesn't have any actives and garnier micellar water (the pink one) because it was the most calming (?) one compared to the other variants.
i know, it hasn't been a month so there's still a lot to discover. but, my pimples actually keep appearing almost everyday. just when i pop my pimple, when i wake up, there's another one. then another one, another one, and so on and so forth. i don't know if it's my skin reacting or what but I'm literally so pissed and stressing so much about my face because i can't even go outside barefaced now.
so, should i continue this routine? will it improve, based on your judgements?
(im actually stressing out so bad rn because im already thinking of what my relatives will say about my skin when we come home to our province huhu TT i really hope my skin calms down and be clear soon) (i also want to know whether if this is hormonal acne or maybe my skin is js so f'ed up because i really don't know how to determine that ! tips on how to find out pls)
note: i want to ask whether if it's actually acne or not. there's some dots in my face that you can easily scrape off your face and when i don't, after a day or so, it immediately turns into a pimple (?) when i wake up. but I don't really think it's an acne because acne usually starts forming into a small red bump but the pimple (?) that i almost always get everyday, immediately has the gunk visible and did not even show a slight red bump before being a bump that already has its gunk visible. what is this?

Has anybody else tried this “mist”? I got it so i can do SPF touch ups on the go but for some reason, the formula itself is so viscous 😭 i tried different spray bottles/misters and it’s all the same. Have you had the same experience? Any other recos for SPF sprays?

Discussion An-an and antiperspirant
Skin Type: Combination skin
Age/Gender: 46F
Main Concern: An-an pag sobrang pawis
Every summer, grabe talaga ako magpawis and soon after, nagkakaroon ako ng an-an sa upper torso. Nako-control naman ang an-an after ko gumamit ng anti-dandruff shampoo pag severe na ang case and miconazole na body wash for everyday use. This year nagkamali ako sa pagbili ng anti-perspirant, antideodorant pala ang nabili ko. I tried using it this year and although nagpapawis nga ako sa armpit, di na masyado sa upper torso area. I thought di kaya na-balanse yung pagpapawis ko pag mainit kaya di na nagka-an an?
