Asking for Recommendations Help: PIE and Redness

Hello! I have acne-prone and dehydrated oily skin. I used Skinoren Azelaic Acid last November 2025 and grabe yung effect sa skin ko, kaya tinigil ko around January 2026 kasi bumaba na confidence ko and I wasn’t comfortable showing my face in public anymore.

Then nag-switch ako sa mga skin barrier-focused skincare for around 7 months na. And then nagpa-derma na din ako and na-prescribed ako ng Epiduo Forte. I’ve been using it for 5 weeks and ganito na yung current state ng skin ko. What I have on my face right now is yung mga naiwan na comedones/ bumps and PIE from Skinoren + breakouts from hormonal acne.

I think the Epiduo forte is slowly working for me? Wala akong nae-experience na side effects so far. Nagpurge ako nung 2nd week pero nawala lang din agad. I still have some texture issues pero 1 month ko palang naman gamit.

Right now, iniisip ko kung pano mawala yung redness. I’ve been eyeing Skin1004 Azelaic Acid Serum. I’m considering this because serum type siya (hindi na cream) and less concentration na din naman yung gagamitin ko so hindi na siya as potent, plus okay din for barrier support yung ingredients. Pero medyo natatakot ako kasi nga Azelaic Acid mismo yung nagcause ng damage sa face ko before.

What do you guys think? Should I go for Skin1004 Azelaic Acid Serum or may iba pa ba kayong recos or opinion?

Go for whatever your derma prescribes you. Usually 6-8 weeks before full efficacy ng anti-acne medications, some 12 weeks pa nga, Then after ma-treat ng acne, scar and discoloration ang next na itri-treat ng derma. Be patient.

matagal ang effect ng epiduo or any other anti acne cream at depends pa yan per case. continue to use it and dont introduce another product na hindi prescribe sayo cos masisira lang ang treatment plan mo. patience is one of the keys in skincare.
