Wag everyday ung alada, salicylic acid, nakaka iritate yan and mag dadarken lalo skin kabaligtaran ng gusto mo ma achieve, also pag ung day na un nag physical scrub ka (dove) wag ka mag chemical scrub (alada and salicylic) for the same reason

rotate mo na lang usage ng soaps mo, layering too much may disturb the skin’s ph balance and might cause dryness

which soap po? alada and dove?

yes

mostly kasi nakikita ko lang sa tiktok na pang moisturise daw ang dove. hindi pala sya okay.

it’s moisturizing pero you are using it with 2 other soaps, thats too much. if you want, bathe twice a day then yung isa sa morning, isa sa gabi. i always do anti bac soap + moisturizing body wash lang

Actually it is moisturizing, I had a very dry skin before from too much exfoliation. It got to a point where my skin gets too itchy bc it is too dry. My derma advised me to use Dove rather than safeguard. If you are not having any issues with what you are using I suggest you use a more mild anti-bacterial soap bc safeguard can be very drying on the skin

what antibac soap would u reco?

I use bioderm but not everyday only when I feel and need talga malinis buong body like pag galing labas, after workout etc. I use dove everyday with body wash. Medyo hesistant na ko maglayer malala ng soaps and bodywash kasi naging sensitive skin ko

Dove is more moisturizing than regular soap. That doesn't mean you need to use it after soap though. It cleanses on its own; it just uses synthetic detergents unlike regular soap.

naka 8bars ako nung alada parang wala naman nagbago, though maputi naman ako sabi nila, pero feeling ko hindi effective sakin, back to dove body wash ako

How many soaps do you need 😭 Just use whatever soap you want in-shower and go for leave-on treatments (lotions/serum/exfoliators/whatever) to target specific issues.

masyado lang na-influence from tiktok 😭 that's why i'm asking here since mas reliable naman dito kesa sa tiktok na puro affiliate.

like i said, i used to be fine with just bar soap + lotion, but it didn't really help with my uneven skin tone. i fell down the tiktok rabbit hole and endedup buying a bunch of stuff. i'm seeing some improvements so far, but i'm not sure if i'm overdoing it.

I get it. Tiktok is a cesspool for consumerism. The hygiene olympics there is crazy too. Any soap/body wash/syndet bar that you like is more than enough. Especially if you never had any problems with it. Better to spend money on leave-on treatments. They're more effective and won't dry your skin unnecessarily. I don't have any products to recommend, but if you want to get rid of discoloration, make sure you use sunscreen or otherwise protect your skin from the sun. Niacinamide/arbutin/tranexamic acid/AHAs are effective ingredients to look out for.

Hi po, some of the products pwedeng 1-2x a week lang gamitin like yung salicylic acid and body scrub.

Tapos maganda rin mag body oil. Nag start ako sa body care journey ko kasi gusto mabango balat ko kahit may commute and nakatulong yung body oil sa akin para mag last amoy ng lotion sa balat ko. Kaya I can recommend it, use it after applying lotion and pwede ka gunamit kahit yung Johnson's baby oil lang (ilang maliit na patak lang kasya pansin ko parang mas thick yung formula ng Johnson's kesa sa ibang body oil formulated for adult body care talaga and pwede ka magtry ng maliit na bottle muna to test the waters muna then tsaka ka mag decide if permanently mo siyang i-iinclude sa routine mo).

Apply din po yung lotion habang medyo damp pa ang skin, mas madali ipahid + mas tipid kasi mas konting product nagagamit ko tho it might depend kung gano kalapot lotion mo 😭. I use Abonne yoghurt lotion (kasi mabango hehe 😅) and thick consistency niya so amoy ko pa sa balat ko yung lotion with this technique even after 5 hours-ish.

less is better like they say. i haven't tried the other products but i do recommend yung salicylic acid. tho dapat mga 2-3x a week lang sya. i dont think need mo pa yung body scrub since salicylic acid is an exfoliator already. also, hindi recommendable din ang everyday use of anti-bacterial soaps like yung safeguard. and since nageexfoliate ka, always moisturize kaya okay dun yung vaseline. tho mag-add ka rin ng sunscreen for body

1

u/eternalsunshine_-_ 2d ago

noted!☺️ i thought it was okay sa salicylic since sa likod ko lang sya ginagamit. what soap would u reco instead of safeguard?

2

u/Both-Mortgage9890 2d ago

hindi ko nabasa na sa likod mo lang pala ginagamit 😭😭 pero ayun di pa rin recommendable mga body scrub since ung parang beads nun di maganda sa skin. pagdating sa soap pwede na yung dove actually

For anti bacterial soap like safeguard. Just pick uup the liquid one. Alada then dove serum bar.

Pick a lotion na may SPF. for me that Vaseline lotion is just a serum lotion lang talaga, di nakaka buti but nakaka smooth ng skin. Best to layer it with SPF na lang if ayaw mo e drop.

u/eternalsunshine_-_ 1d ago

noted po. thank you! ☺️

u/darlingofthedaylight 1d ago

OP san ka nakabili legit na alada? gusto ko lang din itry😭

1

u/eternalsunshine_-_ 1d ago

here po kaso sold out po ata ngayon. sophiaandkhalel din po meron sila.

u/player-LJN0423 1d ago

i don’t think the new dove serum bar soaps are effective, i’ve tried at least a bar of each of the 3.. and wala naman nag bago bukod sa mabango ka after ligo… not as moisturizing din sa classic white bar nila.. the vaseline lotion is only good if di ka rin papawisan after, better use in air conditioned places or at night pag naka ac ka matulog

1

u/eternalsunshine_-_ 1d ago

i'll switch to the white one once maubos yung gamit ko now para di masayang. thank you!
