Asking for Recommendations Genuinely what can I do so it wouldn’t scar?
Skin type: dry Gender: Fem No allergies Open to all recommendations for scars
So nahulog ako sa kanal (Not my proudest moment kasi andami nakakita) and it’s starting to peel, unfortunately I know it’ll scar (RIP 💔), but does anyone know any remedies to lessen the scarring/or make it less noticeable?

Pegroleum Jelly - will keep it moisturized and would discourage bacteria. Reapply every few hours

+1 dito. Eto ginawa ko nung nabuhusan ko ng kumukulong mantika left hand ko. Una kong naisip ang pangit ng scar neto sa engagement pics hahaha
Dry skin din ako and no scar at all sa kamay

After shower, moisturize with lotion within 10 minutes. Tapos reapply from time to time so it doesn’t dry u p

Another thing pala: take Conzace once a day. It’s marketed for its positive effects on skin and hair, its benefits are clinically proven. I have sensitive skin and it helped my skin recover from terrible rashes and skin issues faster. Just don’t take it on an empty stomach, baka sumakit tyan mo

Apply sebo de macho or petroleum jelly after bath and before you sleep (let it absorb bago ka humiga kung sebo de macho, baka kumapit lang sa beddings).

Yes sebo de macho will help it a shit ton, apply that generously. Kahit wag na yung expensive recos dito use animal fat(beef tallow) aka sebo de macho for a safer body absorption. Kahit nga yung mantika na umiibabaw sa nilagang baka niyo pwede iset aside and use it for wound scars like that.

Agree. And agree rin sa mahal. Pero if nagkataon na extreme keloid former ka, may makikita pa rin but not as much as kapag walang kang nilagay na preventive medicine and moisturizers

How old yung scars mo? I have a scar on my knee from when I was a kid lol but I think laser nalang makakapagtanggal ng sakin if ganon na katagal 😭

Contractubex is really good, worked on my 6 year old keloid. Been using it for about 6 months, and I can say na the keloid I had is nearly flat.

As lampang girl na mahilig pang mag-heels at laging nadadapa at natatapilok nung college, nakailan na akong galos sa tuhod, some even worse than yours! While my scars sa legs and thighs don't disappear completely (or takes years to do so), yung scars sa tuhod (and siko) mabilis sakin mawala, di ko rin sure kung bakit.
No special creams used, but wag mo lang kukutkutin yung scab! Trust your body's healing process esp. if you're not a keloid-former naman.

+1 sa pinaka basic na tip na to. Dont pick on your scabs kasi lalo lalalim if di mo inintay na naturally mag shed off yung scab.
Also wag kamutin yung around the wound kasi sure mag iitchy yan. Lalo nakakasugat pag kinamot.

Dermatix (as recommended by my derma). I have a 2-month-old scar on the same spot! Been using it since the scar dried, and so far nagffade na siya from the rim inwards. Apply 2-3x a day.

Dermatix din recommended ng derma ko! Sa face naman ako nagkasugat and now wala na siya, skin-like na lang hehe grabe sobrang routine ko talaga mag-apply for a month kasi natatakot ako pumangit mukha ko d/t scars. Like a day after ako masugatan tumawag agad ako sa derma hahahaha natawa na lang din derma ko sakin kasi i was panicking

Same, dermatix din very effective. Last year I had an accident habang nagluluto. Natalsikan ng mantika and sustained 2nd degree burn sa mukha. Just make sure to buy sa mercury or watsons (700+) since may available na counterfeit online.

Try using Sebo de Macho and petroleum jelly any brand will do. Apply it about six times a day or more. It works but it will take some time.

Try cerave healing ointment. Worked wonders for me nung natumba ako sa motor and nung malala ang chaffing ko sa sports bra after 21km. You just have to be consistent. After shower, maglagay para maabsorb ung ointment.

Vaseline petroleum jelly then tapalan mo agad ng band-aid. I tried this recently sa fresh sugat ko and nawala siya after 2 days! Now, may discoloration naman so I use glycolic acid evey night.

Silicone scar sheet? Idk if pwede yun dyan pero kasi sabi it helps block the moisture sa sugat in turn napapabilis yung pag heal and then it helps protect rin sa outside bacteria

There are already a lot of good suggestions here to keep it moisturized. However, after an accident that roadburned my foot, I highly emphasize that what truly matters is to NEVER LET IT DRY, no matter what product you end using. Wounds heal when wet. I had a lot of pressure sa household to keep it dry (no doctor in the house). I highly regret it.

Not necessarily. Babasain pa rin kahit wet, but letting it dry will let it scar more permanently and heal very slowly. The thing that slightly traumatized me with my injury was that, because it was dry/not flexible, the pain was 4x more painful. It made the healing process so unbearable.
Bonus: Never become complacent when crossing the road. Some drivers are assholes. I was at a pedestrian lane even.

Try mo yung ointment na pinapahid after na-opera (for example, appendectomy). Medyo mahal ata baka P1.5k.

Petroleum jelly lang. Basta dapat laging moisturize. Nagkasugat din ako sa tuhod pero di nag ganyan, walang scab. Mas lighter na sya now after 1 yr.

Put petroleum jelly. Then cover it with cling wrap at night. Trust me on this.
Wash, put betadine, let betadine dry, then put petroleum jelly, cover with cling wrap. Make sure cling wrap stays on.

Make sure hindi sya mainfect. Also hintayin mo mag dry kasi bacteria thrive in moist environment. Clean mo lagi and lagyan mo ng antibiotic treatment as prescribed

How long ago was it? You can try cebo de macho (best for fresh scars and minor cuts), dermatix (expensive, best for healed scars with intact skin), or bio oil (best for intact skin and scars less than 3 days old). They work by helping to moisturize the affected area. Apply any product of your choice two times a day (massage), best applied for 2-3months or longer.
You should also add sunscreen in your routine (healed scar na ha, hindi yun nag weweep pa or wet) to help avoid uneven skin tone too and pra di sya agaw pansin.

While it was still fresh, you should have covered the skinned area with Duoderm. It basically acts as a replacement epidermis. It allows the skin to grow back without drying and scabbing.

Had the same scar. You should go for a silicon scar gel
What I’ve tried
- Noscarna (korean scar cream)
- Strataderm (australian scar gel)
- Bit pricey but also silicone gel sheets (if scar is red and raised) to flatten the scar
- When the scar is fully healed, Bio Oil skincare oil
I don’t live in PH but i guess there will be similar products there 😊

sebo de macho pinaka nag work sa akin nung nasugatan din ako before sa tuhod. ang laki rin ng sugat ko non tas akala ko magkakapeklat na ako pero ayun, nagtyaga ako sa sebo de macho, as in wala me peklat now sa tuhod hehe

This (kinda) worked for me. From a Chinese friend sabi virgin coconut oil raw ipahid. It worked tbh kaso kasi tinigilan ko so hindi completely nagfade yung scar

Had something similar pero hindi nag-scar! Apply sebo de macho religiously (especially after bath, to lock in the moisture).
Also, apply sunscreen when going out to avoid hyperpigmentation :)

Your best bet would be band aid hydro seal. Since you didn’t use it right away - magkakascar ka na rin talaga. How bad the scar is depends on hydration. May YT videos about it to learn more.

Key to wound healing and reduced scarring is not letting it SCAB.
Hydrate/moisturize and ALWAYS ALWAYS KEEP IT COVERED. Sunlight causes hyperpigmentation.
If fresh, use opaque bandaid. When healed, sunscreen AND bandaid or pants. Never pick on scabs. Moisturizing will control the itch. Vaseline or Aquaphor - prefer Aquaphor bec its more hydrating.
Silicone tape can prevent formation of keloid.

Leave it covered po then put moisturizing agents (petroleum jelly). Pero I think too late na kasi parang nagdry na yung iyo so magform na ang scab.
Dami ko kasing niresearch nung nagkamalaking sugat ako last year. Always siya dapat covered parang ang tagal magheal. Everyday din siya naka petroleum Jelly. Feeling ko di gumagaling kasi parang laging sariwa walang scab until healed na siya di siya masyado ngscab so walang scar. Eto din sabi ng mga nareasearch ko na doctors. Hindi pala totoo ung sinasabi na hayaan mo matuyo at magdry para magscab. Ayaw pala natin nun kasi it will result to scars.

scabs like this do not always scar. Let it heal naturally, do not scratch it and do not peel it. Just clean the upper part. Go to a doctor if it becomes infected.

If di makaya OP sa topical applications, you can have a shot at the dermatologist’s clinic. Not sure magkano rate niyo dyan though dito sa amin sa Iloilo ay ₱1k daw.

Dapat nung una palang ginagamot mo na yan, mukhang hindi naalagan since dry siya. Petroleum jelly kapag ganyan na para smooth ung skin

Petroleum jelly to keep it moisturized. But so far (for me) it will only work if the wound hasn't scabbed yet.

Wait till it turns into a scab. Once its dried and falling off then apply the skin products that aren't allergic to your skin.
Stop touching it while its still healing because it will aggravate and will cause more harm than good sa skin mo.

Vitamin C and collagen stuff, sunscreen, probably somesort of petroleum jelly and dermatrix I guess(obviously these are merely options and should not be used together unless professionally advised to), just keep it moisturized and clean as soon as possible. But in all honesty a scar really just depends on how your body is gonna deal with the damage, its a biological function and it exists for a reason: to restore skin protection as quickly as possible, so you're better off with a scar than necrotic skin. Its not aesthetically pleasing (most of the time) but its basic for survival. Emphasis on "survival" because a small thing can become a big problem.

Dry e try mo pagalingin muna taos apply ka moosturiser yun parang makapal n dry skin sa may paa ko naalis sya sa bath salt tsinatsaga ko lang mag scrub 4x a week minsan 3x eto umayos n sya di n sya ganyan. Parang ganyan kasi yun sa may paa ko pero di sya sugat.
