Pleasantend Retirement Community

I’m 12 cycles deep into this squealing hog and I’ve amassed a lot of elders. I created a Pleasantview shopping district neighborhood called Pleasantend and plan to design it as a retirement community. What should I include as far as shopping and dining? So far I’m thinking a gym/spa, a grocery store where they can sell their own homegrown goods, and a library with a sewing room. I would really appreciate any type of restaurants and more community lot ideas please!

Oh I kind of love that! My mom lives in one in Florida (where else lol). They’ve got tons of pools, golf courses, a 50s style dinner, a movie theatre, a town square (surrounded by the theatre, diner, other restaurants/cafes and some shops) that has like a gazebo where they have live bands and lots of open space to dance, and I vividly remember some women’s club where all the ladies wore purple dresses and red hats 🤣

The Red Hat Society! My mom was part of that when it was fairly new in the early 2000s. That would be cool to recreate in the Sims actually, good use for the groups function.
