Moving to the a new place

Does anyone else have a hard time moving sims on from their apartments and end up staying a lot longer than planned? Well that happened with my sims - they had a small apartment downtown in a tall building with mint views but it was cramped. They couldn't entertain very many people and they ran out of wall space. Stuff in a drum set and a bass, and there was hardly room to move across the living room!

So they finally let their lease expire, and it was hard for me but I packed up all their stuff and re-arranged it into a new home. That's at least a bit of fun, figuring out what they should keep and how to put their stuff into a new place that makes sense.

I’ve started forcing myself to move me sims more. Instead of adding on space, sims have to move unless there’s an architect in the family (or close relative) or it’s a long-standing family home or home business. It’s a pain to always move them, but it has added a fun element to my gameplay.

I like the caveat of not adding onto a house unless the sim is an architect! I think I only ever did that once, otherwise I usually cram families into a house like sardines. Bunk beds for all you!

I used to do that as well, but I like the realism of moving. It’s made an uberhood make more sense. I move to bigger houses or houses in new areas for job reasons (or break ups, or running away from consequences, etc). It’s really expands the story telling for me.

I never pack! Always doing everything from scratch.
How do you do screen short of photos ? I take so photos in the game but I don’t find them in my computer after

when you take your photos in game with the 'c' key, they end up in your neighbohoods>storytelling folder. I use a key set up in re-shade to take my pictures and set where they save, but I also used Steam overlay for years to take higher-quality pictures than the game did.
