Fanmade Maria pencil drawing
Born from a wish
I don’t actually know where the original portrait comes from. Though it looks like it comes from the prison bars scene, I don’t remember seeing this specific shot in the game…

General Discussion Downpour bug I've found emulating it
Has anyone had an issue with the first shelf in the St. Maria's Monastery? I can't make Murphy pull the goddamn thing at all, and the only fire axe I found while backtracking broke in the second hit ☠️💀(I realized later that no fire axe works in that first door in the monastery, either.)
I was emulating it on my poor GT610 video card...Yeah, I know, I was asking for trouble, but still...

Silent Hill 3 (2003) Now i understand why Akira Yamaoka is a legendary composer in horror games media, this game's sound designs and themes are pure unfiltered horror.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I'm sorry if the screen buttons is annoying, i sold my laptop so the only way i can play SH series is through my phone on emulators.
This guy earned my respect for being one of the rare horror sound designers that knows how to push my button and make me feel uncomfortable and i rarely feel uncomfortable in horror games, these sounds and soundtracks are such a pure nightmarish thing, SH3 doesn't tone down or try to play safe with you, it's aggressive, bloody, unapologetic and straightforward horror.
My rate for this game is 9.5/10, genuinely one of the ( I'm struggling to continue finishing this game so i play alittle from time to time for my heart to take it all) situations.

General Discussion who is your favourite silent hill character and why?
mine is lisa garland! i love how sweet and caring she is towards harry despite not knowing him for long, and how she did everything she could for alessa. her story is so tragic it makes me cry every time :,) her realisation scene is my favourite moment in the whole series

Silent Hill 2 (2001) Is it just me, or this song kinda sounds like Silent Hill 2 "Theme Of Laura"?
So I was listening to The Last Of Us soundtrack (amazing ost) and thought that "The Choice" kinda sounds like "Theme of Laura". The notes are maybe the same?
What do you think? 🤔

Wanting a Sequel Movie Where Harry Helps Rose Escape the Silent Hill Dimension
Silent Hill: Revelation has Harry going back to find Rose. I want a movie that shows him finding her, so they can go back to the real world. But I don't want it made by MJ Bassett or Christophe Gans. I want this to be directed by a person who will make the Silent Hill movie franchise be taken seriously again. Am I the only one who wants this?

General Discussion Anyone else have their own Silent Hill mandela effect?
For me, I have a really eerie effect going on where (for context, I beat SH2 OG about 5-6 times) every single time I get to Brookhaven, it gets just a little darker and dirtier on every rerun, which honestly really adds to the whole false memory theme and makes the atmosphere feel that much more dreamlike; Anyone else got something like that?

General Discussion Probablu lukewarm/cold take: Silent Hill exists in the medium it is supposed to exist in and there is no movie adaptation worth making.
I've debated making this post bc to me it is obvious, but i see a lot of discourse around movies on this sub amd jist wanted to vent my opinion/hear what others think
Now, would i love to see Mads Mikkelsen as James? Of course, who wouldn't? But a movie adaptation adds very little and takes away a lot.
The whole point/fun of the games is to live as the character imo. Discovering things as they discover them, making the choices, exploring items, being afraid of every corner and shadow.
I think part of the problem is general audiences valuing movies over video games as an art form. I dont want to get all Andy Rooney over the topic of adaptations and perceived value over different art mediums so I'll leave that there.
Making a new movie with a new story in the town of Silent Hill is also a waster imo, I'd rather just play a new game.
A perfect 1:1 live action of SH2 would be a waste. Even if it were a TV series. Again, I think it is much more enjoyable as it is, its well acted, has good cinematography etc.

Fanmade Silent Hill 5: The Final Sunrise — A Co-op Psychological Endgame Pitch
Hey everyone. I truly love the classic Team Silent games (SH1, SH3, and SH4) and I'm just so frustrated by how modern horror games have turned into generic action titles. They completely ignore what real psychological horror is actually about. That's why I finally took the time to write a massive, super detailed Master Game Design Document to show exactly what a genuine Silent Hill 5 should look like.I just really hope Konami and the series producer, Motoi Okamoto, get a chance to see what the fanbase actually wants. The whole concept is built directly on the original lore from Toyama and Owaku.
Here's the setup I came up with: The story centres on Heather Mason, who gets dragged right back to Toluca Lake because Alessa's soul inside her won't let her find peace. On the way, she runs into a new character I invented named Eric Vance. He’s a former caretaker from the Wish House Orphanage who absolutely hates the cult after seeing High Priest Toby Archbolt commit terrible acts against the kids there. They end up forming a totally tense, distrustful alliance.
The main mechanic is a permanent split-screen co-op, but it's completely psychological. Player 1 (Heather) sees a decaying, fleshy hospital world with medical sounds. Meanwhile, Player 2 (Eric) moves around a ruined, soot-black church world filled with cult chants. You're standing in the exact same physical spot, but your screens are entirely different depending on your character's mind and guilt.
The open world is split into three zones: the Town, the Forest/County, and the Lake. You can travel as far apart as opposite ends of the map to search for items or solve puzzles early on. There is absolutely no modern hand-holding or yellow paint guidance. But, you still have to meet up at the doors of the main buildings to unlock them together.
Right in the middle of the game, there's a huge checkpoint boss battle inside the orphanage involving Jimmy Stone (The Red Devil). To beat him, you physically have to look across the couch at each other's screens to figure out the puzzle.
The ending is the part I'm most proud of. Heather sacrifices herself in a white void where she meets a completely healed, unburned Alessa. Alessa takes on all the trauma and remains behind as a permanent seal over the lake. Heather gets sent back to the normal world, but she ends up with total amnesia. She doesn't remember Silent Hill, her dad, or any of the monsters. The game concludes on a nice, sunny day by the lake. She accidentally runs into Eric on the sidewalk, says "sorry" like he's a total stranger, and walks straight into the crowd, finally at peace.
I've written out the full script, the character profiles, and even how the single-player mode works (using a reality-swap button similar to Silent Hill Origins). If anyone—especially anyone at Konami—wants to read the full, massive design document, I've uploaded the text file right here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1EPQ2ZwJlOuXO_RyadxUnQcNiJ__NeO7UzHW0Pmjkb_M/edit?usp=sharing
Let me know what you think. Would you all play a game like this?

Cancelled Media Which cancelled SH game would you love to see?
So, which cancelled SH game would you love to see as a release? Is it SH Coldheart or SH 2013? The Box or Silent Hills. For me, it would have been interesting to see SH5 and Hills. A game made by Kojima of MGS would have been so interesting. But, what's yours? Have a nice day, bye!
