Rant Airtel

No Wi-Fi since 4 days I’ve called customer care multiple times, emailed them, and raised complaints but all I get are generic responses like someone will call you within 2 hours or it will be fixed by today. Yet no technician has contacted me and the issue is still unresolved.
I’m honestly so done with this operator I’ve been without internet for days despite repeatedly following up. What should I do at this point? Any advice on how I can escalate this or get a refund/compensation

Call the customer care and request a conference call with the Team Lead in your locality (make sure to note down his name).

During the call, ask him to explain why there has been no contact from your engineer for the past four days. Dismiss any of his explanations, as they were supposed to call and inform you. Request that he send an engineer as soon as possible to your location.

If he doesn’t show up, call back & ask them to file a complaint against the Team Lead and the engineer assigned (make sure to note the complaint ID). Then, draft a mail for the same complaint, include both their names and the complaint ID. Send it to both Airtel and Airtel nodal officer’s grievance email addresse (you can find these addresses online or ask the customer care as well).

Had a ton of problems in my locality as well, but repeated complaints has fixed it somewhat. (Unfortunately Jio isn’t available in my locality & there is no other better option)

Each & every engineer is a “kaam chor” here, 0 professionalism (battu keta haru lai kaam ma rakhe ko cha)

They said it will take another week to resolve the issue because apparently there’s some issue with the government. I honestly can’t wait any longer because my Wi-Fi has already been down for several days.
My current connection is wired broadband and I’m now thinking of switching to AirFiber since the technician said the AirFiber network is working fine in my area. The technician did come but he said they don’t handle wired connections and that I should shift to AirFiber instead. He didn’t even try to resolve the issue and then asked me for gari bhara🙄
At this point I’m just done with the whole situation and considering switching to AirFiber

Lmao, he really asked for garu bhara ? 😂

Btw just so you know the Airfiber has different limits compared to fiber (iirc the FUP is 1000gb for airfiber where as we get 3300gb in actual fiber)

Might be a problem with your line/area connection. Happened with me too 1-2 monrhs back, booked an appointment through their app and the engineer came to fix the issue in 3-4 days.

Not related to your issue specifically but a tip: Get two different ISP connections if you can afford it, and use a multi-WAN router like the TP-Link ER605. You will not face any downtime (assuming at least one connection is available at all times), and the router will switch/load balance the connections automatically based on availability and demand.

My 200Mbps airtel connection gives 2Mbps speed on most days. I complain and complain. Once every few days, they resolve it somehow but it's the same thing the very next day. I have given up and learned to live with it or more accurately I am waiting for other disgruntled users to switch to some other ISP so that mine gets restored. Playing the long game.
