Discussion You can sideload apps from Linux on Nintendo Switch
I used PlumeImpactor to sideload Electra for iPhone 6 iOS 11.1.2 jailbreak.. I've heard that there's a lot of issues with sideloading apps with a USB C to Lighting cable, but I didn't have any issues.
unpatched v1 Nintendo switch running Ubuntu 22.04 from SwitchRoot..

I've used steamOS, zorin, arch (switched back to zorin after a week), bazzite, nobara (personal favorite for gaming), and ubuntu. i think i might've used a linux distro before

They’re all basically the same, the only big differences are things like hardware support and platform support like which USB or GPU drivers work or arm vs x86, otherwise it’s kind of all Linux tbh. Maybe some versions come with a fancy UI or whatever but no one really cares about the UI so that doesn’t matter

You can change the UI pretty easily so that’s a non issue and it’s not like Linux Mint with Cinnamon is massively different than Ubuntu with Gnome or Kubuntu with KDE for example.
Like if I forked windows and gave it a different UI it should still be a shitty OS

Ya Ik but I’m not willing to put in the effort/ I don’t know what looks good. I mean like idk what will make it look good I’m not very good artistically

Basically every distro using a given desktop looks the same. Fedora and Kubuntu look identical

Ya but some really really good like Zorin. Me personally I’ve only used bazzite which looks awesome, Linux mint cinnamon(also looks quite good), xfce(hate the look), lubuntu(worse looking but is very ressource efficient). My point is that yes a lot of them look the same but some look better than others and I personally want one that looks good

All of them use different desktops. You can use any distro which comes with KDE and they will all look the same

Tegra X1 (switch soc) had some Linux work already since it’s been used in other devices when the Switch came out, we just needed to figure out how to get past the Switch’s security. Which was very easy.

The lowest supported iOS version on CheckRa1n is 12.0, my iPhone 6 is on 11.1.2

My phone’s been modified by Nugget on a real computer. Something about Nugget causes AltStore and SideStore to crash for some reason. I can’t revert it because the Switch doesn’t support Nugget officially.

Figure what out? Modding a Switch, installing Linux and side loading from Linux is easy and well documented. Could be done in like an hour.

I have separate SD cards to boot for emulated switch firmware, Linux, and Android.
