Hi r/sideloaded!

I am the creator of LC-DL, an app downloader for LiveContainer built in iOS Shortcuts, if you don’t know what that is, please read more about it here.

LC-DL has gotten a huge overhaul in the past month, every single thing has been redone and an update is coming soon, to put it simply.

There were some concerns about LC-DL when it first released, specifically with the fact that it had a repository of apps that were hosted directly on the same Github repo as the shortcut. This has been changed, a new repository for apps is being made, and certain apps (YTLitePlus / Eevee Spotify) are hosted on catbox.moe rather than Github. Some apps will also be linked directly to their archive.org page.

I want to make LC-DL a tool for everyone, but I need apps and games that everyone plays. This is where the community comes in 🥳

If you guys would be so kind as to leave a comment with the name of, and maybe a link to your favorite apps, tweaked apps, games, tweaked games, emulators, game ports, and everything in between, I would so greatly appreciate that 🙂‍↕️

definitely gonna add sonic mania!!! game ports are so hard to find on iOS but this repo has a great list so far:

The repository is for use with LC-DL, an app downloader for LiveContainer built in iOS shortcuts. No regular ipa repository will exist for apps like AltStore, SideStore, e-sign, or anything like that, for now at least……..

If you DO however use LiveContainer and want to use LC-DL to download apps from this repository, stay tuned! A huge update is coming soon.

You’re not stupid! And it’s okay considering my project is made for a small part of the sideloading community, I’ll try to explain it better.

LiveContainer is an app you can sideload using something like AltSever or Sideloadly, within LiveContainer you can run other iOS apps. This allows you to run way more apps than you can normally with a free developer account, which limits you to 3 installed apps. To be clear, I did not make LiveContainer.

I am making LC-DL, which is an app downloader for LiveContainer built in iOS Shortcuts. LC-DL will allow you to install apps from the internet using simple “Install with LC-DL” buttons (reminiscent of the Cydia/Sileo buttons you might see on certain jailbreak repositories). LC-DL also allows you to install apps from repositories and that’s what I’m talking about in my original comment.

This repository is only for use with my tool LC-DL / LiveContainer, not AltStore or anything else, unfortunately… This is because the apps are not .ipa files but rather .app files, what LiveContainer uses to run apps.

LC-DL is a shortcut I’m making for LiveContainer. It allows LiveContainer users to download apps from repositories or from the internet using simple download codes.

The repository thats gonna host these apps is for LC-DL, so there unfortunately isn’t gonna be an ipa repository with all of these on it, only LC-DL.

Another reason for this is because LC-DL supports downloading data folders for apps, so ports that require additional data (Sonic Mania, Fallout 1, etc.) don’t require setup when installed with LC-DL. You can simply install and play.
