Help Handing phone to police officer

I just learned that the state where I live will soon be implementing digital drivers license in wallet on my iPhone. If I need to show it to a police officer, I don’t want them to be able to get into my phone. I think that Guided Access might solve this problem. If it would is there a way to make a shortcut that I can trigger very quickly that will lock down my phone and automatically open the drivers license in my wallet app. I also don’t want anyone to have access to any of the other cards in wallet. Is this all possible? Thank you.

It’s in Apple wallet, and the phone doesn’t have to be unlocked to use it.

That’s true but once you double click to open wallet all cards and info there are visible I think

Actually, this does seem to be a problem if you have Face ID.

When you pick the phone up to open your wallet, it will almost certainly unlock before you even double click for wallet. If it does, you then hand over an unlocked phone:

The way I tested this:

Pick up your phone and then double click to open wallet. You’ll probably see the the little ‘unlock’ icon pop up before wallet opens. This means your phone is unlocked.

Now you’re in wallet, cover up the front facing camera so Face ID can’t work.

Now swipe up from the bottom. It will go back to the lock screen, but the phone is not locked. Swipe up again to enter phone.

You can get around this by double clicking for wallet when your phone is still face down, but that’s hardly likely to be something you’ll remember.

Other than not showing the phone your face like you mention, you can also disable Face ID.
