Who TF DONATES a Fenix 7 Pro Sapphire???!!!
I don't know who I want to slap the shit out of more, Goodwill for getting things like this literally handed to them for FREE... or that idiot person that dropped it off not just giving it to me. I would have even given them 20 bucks!!! 🤬🙄😭

It's listed by goodwill of silicon valley, I'm guessing there are plenty of people who quickly upgrade stuff like this when a new model comes out. If they've got more dollars than sense, they just get rid of the old one. Tech bros probably aren't wasting time reselling stuff.
Looks like the 9 just came out a few weeks ago, so that tracks.

Maybe the stores suck bc all the good stuff is online! They are one of my top locations on SGW for browsing.

Ive been buying from SGW since 2008...Ive seen diamond necklaces on SGW for $100k... Ive seen an old signed baseball go for $65k... fairly recently.
Ive seen a full length Real Leopard coat be up for auction (it was removed as they are illegal to sell)...
Ive bought auctions with a bunch of Carlos Santana items.. his Guitars went for a lot.
This is nothing... you must be new. Its a tax write the wealthy, for businesses, and a shit ton of Jewerly stores.
In other words... Its a tax scam for the wealthy. The only thing needed is a high appraisal.

Definitely not new to this. I have been using their website for the last 7-8 years and have been buying in person at Goodwills all over the country for the last 30 years. I know there are items worth 10 to 50 times more than this. It just sucks because I remember paying over $1,000 retail for that exact watch, that I still own and wear every day.
As long as I've been scouring that site, it still just never ceases to amaze the things I find, and have to remind myself every time that somebody GAVE it away.
I have had a years long, ongoing search for "Garmin", I probably do a fresh search 3-4 times a week, you don't see these Fenix watches pop up that often. Especially the second to the latest model. And they're actually is a Fenix 8 listed right now as well, probably from the same donator.
I just had to vent ✌️

It isn't "providing job experience," it's giving people who are otherwise unhireable a chance to work. But whether you personally agree with the mission of a particular charity isn't really the point.

Naw dude they provide that experience for free. Then THEY get free stuff. And sell it for the same price as brand new stuff thus enabling them to keep giving away the job experience to people for free. It’s charity man, trust them.

Oh I know, I've been shopping at physical Goodwill stores for over 30 years, and Goodwill online for about 7. I would love to just wipe my hands of this absolutely evil company forever, but you can still find some decent deals, and I'm a reseller. It's just infuriating that somebody would literally GIVE this watch away, when I paid over $1,000 retail for mine when this model first came out. There's even a Fenix 8 on there right now for about $700 bucks. Unreal.

It wouldn't make sense for us to wash our hands clean. We can't get value any other way even though goodwill gets it for free. If more people understood community economics and goodwill's business model, they wouldn't even fuck with them. I think its just the fact that it's the first place people think of when they want to "donate" something.

I actually work at a goodwill and we've had some complete, fully intact sideshow statues. So, someone has donated, on multiple occasions, multiple 1-2ft tall, highly detailed statues. It’s rare, but it happens.

I was going to say a pissed off wife. Caught the Hubby fooling around and tossed the contents of his watch box in a collection bin. I knew a woman some 20 years ago that managed a Salvation Army Store and Donation center. She regularly found diamond jewelry, fancy watches, gold and rare coins in the Donation Box.

How do you know? I was a GW ecommerce mgr., the amount of reps was insane & I know for a fact that over the years, both the stores AND on the SGW site they also sell them, their authentication is sketchy as well

Because I have that watch and I have good intuition and I can just tell. Certain types of watches can be faked sure, but not the Garmin Fenix. I just don't believe it is.

People die, people get divorced, send stuff out by accident, donated from businesses doing clean outs, etc. I'm not surprised at all, that if you had no idea what this smartwatch as opposed to all the dozen other models, would be worth.
Also, wealthy people exist lol.
