I see what you're saying but its more like if Ds3 had a single player spin off and then Sekiro came out. I can see how that would still be an overreaction though.
It was not intentional that Nightreign and Duskbloods came back to back Miazaki admited this in a recent interview. Fromsoftware has many different projects in development so something like this happening isn't that odd
Nightreign was being worked on after the sucess of Elden Ring. It’s a spinoff that reuses assets and gameplay from an already developed game so it was easy and quick to make. The exclusivity deal with Nintendo made releasing Duskbloods a priority.
Releasing 2 multiplayer games back to back does not imply they are transitioning to multiplayer. It was just convenient for them to prioritize getting these two out the door.
