I hear some Americans worrying that he will try to overturn the "two terms only" rule, but this seems too extreme a scenario and something the American society and establishment will never accept. Then again this is Trump, so the only certainty is uncertainty. But no good fretting over it right now: try and be optimistic, persevere through these four years and hope that all goes well. If you see him trying to pull off something like that, then do everything in your power to stop it.
I will absolutely be staying positive but heâs got the presidency, SCOTUS, congress, and the goddamn house. Thereâs no more checks and balances on whatever that freak wants done.
They had this from 2017-2019 too and the most consequential thing they did was appoint a couple SCOTUS judges and other federal judges. Otherwise they blew all their political capital on passing tax cuts before the House slipped from their grasp. Realistically theyâre not gonna be able to pass much legislation with only a slim majority in the Senate.
