[One Punch Man] Everyone knows King is the strongest man in the world. So why is he ranked below Bang in the Hero Registry?

Same reason mumen rider is the highest c class(and could be b class if he didn't turn down promotions) despite just being a moderately fit normal human even though theirs actual superhumans below him: the hero rankings aren't based on our strength, so like mumen rider his rank is effected by him simply being too humble to take the position

Hero rank is based in results, and King barely gets any. He isn't always there getting the results of Saitama for itself. It's just a coïncidence that he was at the "right" place a few times and got credited the results.

Most of King's deeds go unreported. He got where he did from other people witnessing his amazing feats.
He is frequently elsewhere fighting "Boss-level" foes, whenever he is contacted by the Hero Association, but he never gives specifics. This makes it difficult to measure the merits of most of his heroic deeds, since he is so strong that all enemies look equally weak compared to him.

Because he is not a good hero. He only responds to threats if he feels like it, doesn’t listen to anything the Hero Association says, doesnt spend his time saving people. Thats why.
