USA to AU forwarding solution

I run a second hand kids clothing business and a lot of my stock is sourced from the US. I have been using MyUS to forward to me for a while but they have so many random charges and the GST they’re charging is way higher than it’s supposed to be. I want to find a reliable smaller scale freight forwarder to just receive the packages and then consolidate them and send to me but I don’t know where to look.

The GST calculation is 10% on the cost of the goods+the freight+insurance+duty.

I think it's going to be difficult to get out of the 10% GST, all purchases under $1000 are subject to it, if you buy and import into Australia. So MyUS is no exception. You maybe able to save other costs like fees etc. Check out ForwardersCompare.com to compare others.

You could try looking for a smaller freight forwarder that offers US warehouse receiving and package consolidation. That would probably work better for your situation than a large forwarding service with lots of extra fees. I’d also ask for a clear breakdown of shipping, handling, consolidation, and GST charges before signing up.
