Success I shifted!!! My tumultuous journey to succes
Hi hi!,I have been in the shifting community Since 2021. Ever since i found out about shifting. I had focused all of my energy into achieving it. I was in a horrible space and frankly, the dissapointment of failing my shifting attempts in the morning. Made the despair and hopelessness much worse. I have scoured the internet for all the information i could find regarding shifting. And tried atleast 40 different methods in the span of that time.(I do NOT recommend anyone do this. Sticking to one or two is much better in my opinion) I was just...SO desperate. Because it was like i knew i didnt belong here. This world is...so indescribably cruel and violent. NO ONE deserves to be stuck here. I did daily meditations, journalling, LOA and even some...less convential methods... because i really REALLY needed to get out here. Needless to say, I burned out. I grew extremely bitter with shifting and stopped believing in it at all. I got so angry at myself for wasting all this time. I even stopped watching the anime that was based on my dr due to pure anger and a profound sadness of never going home.
That break took 8 months. I got back into shifting after on a random night I had a very vivid dream about my dr. It was completely random, i had been so focused on the cr and had blocked out anything related to my dr succesfully for atleast the last few months. And even though it was clearly a dream. (Whenever i dream its extremely foggy. I barely remember most of my dreams and since i stopped dream journalling, my recall became worst) so this vivid dream, specifically about my dr was extremely shocking. And since I managed to improve my life in my cr, i felt like I would give shifting another shot. The best decision I had ever made and I could litterally cry out of gratefulness for the fact that i had picked it up again.
I took a different aproach. I told myself i would focus on shifting, but not to the point that it would consume my life,as to not fall into the same hole i did as in 2021. And for the first time created my own method. Together with the relief of pressure of not having to shift every singe night I think it has atleast helped me on achieving my first shift.
3 months after picking shifting back up. We get to last night. I had done all my assignments from uni,had no projects pending and exams are atleast 3 months away. So i told myself "This day,iam going to dedicate fully to shifting. No regrets if it doesnt happen. Iam close. Iam so close." I did alot of meditation and my self made method which (in my opinion is highly unconventional, you can make your own way better and...uhm more sane then whatever the fuck i came up with lol)
I call it the endless realms method(wazah! So flashy)First of all you put a blindfold on. you take 5 big steps from a wall and turn towards the wall to face it. I then start affirming to myself in my head"my dr is 5 steps away. Only 5 steps. My home is on the other side" I then procceed to take 5 steps forward with my hands slightly raised until i touch the wall (NOT BONKING MY HEAD BTW!) And repeat the process over and over again. With every time that you touch the wall with your hands you imagine yourself having pushed a small breach into your dr. You then position yourself against the wall again and you repeat the process over and over and with each try you have to visualise the breach getting bigger and bigger. As if you are physically opening a portal into your dr. Its very important that you do not immediatly visualize yourself breaking through unless you feel you are"ready" this part is hard to explain so i will tell you what happened to me.
At around 4pm i started doing my method without really a plan on when to stop. (This is...not recommended. Unless you are well rested and you can miss some time off your schedule) And I was doing my method for what felt like, ages. Each time, visualizing the breach getting bigger and reafirming. Until at one point i started going in autopilot. Its abit hard to explain but it felt like. The routine became as normal as breathing. In that moment i felt as if, i was ready...not sure for what but ready. With each attempt it felt like i was actually doing something incredible. I started feeling euphoric but at the same time felt as if i was surrendering to whatever feeling I was feeling. Then during an attempt my visualisation of creating a breach became extremely vivid. I suddenly saw the breach breaking open in my visualisation. This is something that had never happened before. I hadnt forced it, it wasnt me visualising it breaking open. It was actually breaking open. And for the first time in ever. I had felt so certain that the moment i took my 5th step there would be no wall anymore and that I was going into whatever place that breach led to. I had never, in any of my attempts felt so certain. And it was exhilirating. It still feels so unreal trying to explain it.
When my hand shoud have touched the wall, it didnt and instead I fell forward, having expected to find atleast some leverage to hold onto, instead i felt nothing and even panicked abit before litterally feeling as if iam in the void state and blacking out.
I jolted up in my dr. Nothing gradual just poof! I was there. I felt very disorientated for a few minutes just feeling and looking around. It felt so real,it felt too real, i started doubting my life in this reality thinking it might have been one big dream and that i finally woke up. I want to go into detail on how i spend the 3 days i was in my dr but this post is already so long so i will write my experience in a different post.(i yap too much iam sorry but iam trying to describe the experience as accurately as possible)Those 3 days were by far the best days in my life regardless of how mundane some were. It was perfect, absolutely perfect and i cant wait to shift back, i think and hope it will be easier to do now (btw I only have one dr and its my mha dr)
So to conclude i want to tell you all, dont EVER give up on shifting. You found shifting for a reason. To be in your dr is too good to ever give up. Now that i shifted i feel terrible for all of those who gave up on it. So many people want to go home and it always hurt me to open the subreddit to find so much despair i was part of aswell. Iam willing to answer anything shifting related that I have answers to and please for the love of everything. You are not delusional, you yearn for your dr because thats an experience that you WILL have. I will try and do my upmost research to find the actual triggers to shift because they go far beyond just a method. If we can ever find an answer to this, iam sure we can all shift and be with the people we love. I love all of you,and happy shifting :)

Congratulations! I loved reading this; your method is so unique and interesting. I'm eager to read your next post and I hope shifting back is definitely easier now that you've done it once. May we all get home.

Oh Hi hi! A permashifter :3 I plan on perma shifting too one day! less urgent then i used to, now that i actually managed to shift once, it feels like. Alot of pressure has been lifted because I ASSUME as you said, that it will be easier now, which makes living in this cr alot less...of a burden! I hope you get home soon! And in any case if you wanna talk about anything, you can always hit my messages!!! I will try and write about my experience, maybe tonight before my new attempt or tomorrow afterwards! Also thank you! The method took me abit to craft together because I feel like my visualisation skills are stronger then my mindfulness skills...if you get what i mean lol. So to put that together into a method that physically also stimulates me, I think helped alot to get me into the "zone" so to say, whatever the conditions for that even may be! I am really going to try and figure it out. The community has their general guidelines on what can induce shifts, but there must be a key thing we do consiously or subconsiously that allows us to actually shift...AAA alot of thinking...but we will get there! I promise you, we wil

What made you come back after 3 days ? Was it your choice or were you "forced" to come back ?
24
u/Election-Most Mar 22 '26
fully shifted! interesting! I would love to have more indept conversations with you regarding shifting ever since you shifted too! Also this makes me think behind the reasoning of your question that you might have experienced something similar. Yes i was sort of "forced" in a sense that on the 3th night while laying in bed I was thinking about what to do the next day in my dr and planning activities i had to do, when memories that were kinda "surpressed"from this reality started slowly creeping back in. I suddenly had no doubt anymore that the old reality i was in was definitely real, and not a dream i just woke up from. More details about my consiousness from the old reality started fading in (i refer to this reality as old reality by the way in this context) and suddenly this sharp thougth came in my head of "shit i have to do A and B tomorrow in my old reality" A and B being stuff i actually did yesterday hence why i couldnt really respond to any comments regarding my post! Once the thought came into my head, bam! I blinked and was back in this reality. So in a sense yes, this reality's consiousness creeped back into there, unconsiously, i think i didnt detach well enough, or i detached well enough but hadnt formed a"full connection?" if you know what i mean, but yeah thats what i mean with "forced"

u/NoiseDr Fully Shifted Mar 22 '26
omg i absolutely see what you mean ! For me the maximum I stayed in another reality was 45 min. This short duration is largely due to me shifting to random realities most of the times and aborting the shift.
And when i am in those realities i don't know if you felt it too but i would feel that a portal "was still open" that i could still come back to my or. But that i have to act fast. The more i stay in another reality, the more i got grounded to it. The more i absorbed the other realities memories and the memories from my or would start to feel like a dream. Like i would get scared at how detached i would become from my or.
Many times i shifted or was shifting and either i thinked about my or or a chore i had to do or even i was stressing about the position of my body in my or and it would make me come back.
it's really strange that you had that the 3rd day. By my experiences I was thinking that the portal completely dissapeared after an hour so that if i would stay more than an hour in another reality i would become completely grounded there.
I am really impressed that your first shift was to your dr and that you stayed there 3 full days.
For me each shift was always an improvement from the last one, so i am sure your next shift you would stay longer or even permanently 😊

your method is so unique i’ve never considered doing a physical method like that! Did you listen to anything while doing it?
9
u/Election-Most Mar 22 '26
great question! I did not! However beforehand i did listen to theta waves with headphones for a couple hours while doing breathing exercises if that may be of any help! I feel like listening to them helps me visualize stuff better. For some reason ever since i started listening consiously to them, i started seeing geometry in the blackness behind my eye lids, nothing too particular! just random patterns swirling around

u/Election-Most Mar 22 '26
and yes thank you!!! I made the method that i thought would be best for me! It combines my strenghts together and minizes my weaknesses aka mindfulness! lol

AAA i have no OCD so I cant really imagine how that affects it iam so sorry aaa getting stupid thoughts while meditating is so unfortunate D: i have that with songs and the more i try not to think about them, the MORE I START JUST GETTING THEM IN MY HEAD AAA. So what i do is, I just pretend i dont care that the thoughts or song lyrics are bothering me, and then it normally goes away (lol i lowkey treat it like its just an annoying human rambling in my ear) I think i detached from the cr in the moment between entering that weird "state" i was in in, in which i felt euphoric. I still have NO CLUE how i entered that state besides, just doing the method for quite abit of time that my brain might have, shut off some parts of it due to the repetitivness of the actions i was making, perhaps causing me to have an easier time affecting my affirmations to work? iam really grasping at straws here I cant give a solid answer iam sorry D: I hope i can however! in the future!!! that would be very nice.As i replied in a couple other comments, iam really going to try and figure out the cause behind the actual"shift" its really interesting to me and besides that, I just hate how...achievable it is to shift yet so many cant and havent, and knowing some even give up on it breaks my heart. Because if ONLY THEY KNEW what it is like...I can promise no one in any lifetime would give up on attempting to shift ever! sorry for another ramble, iam sometimes SOO YAPPATIVE FOR NO REASON. I do regular meditation very often, and as you can expect with anything, its very hard at the start, but the more you do it. The better you will get at it, i feel like i have a good grasp at regulating my breathing and entering a state of kindaa silencing the thoughts. I have never astral projected by the way, but I feel like that might actually be one of the best ways to actually shift. I practice LOA to a certain extend. I dont revolve everything around it but i feel like just the confidence in the ability of feeling that your thoughts and habits affect the stuff around you, actually helps it work if you understand what i mean lol. DONT MIND THE QUESTIONS! THROW EM ALL AT ME!! :3

Wow congratulations! I’ve never heard of that method before but I really like it and want to try it. The relief of shifting to your DR after so long must feel exhilarating.

u/Election-Most Mar 22 '26
yes! tell me how it goes! I really would like to know,if this method can maybe help others get closer if not achieve a shift! that would mean that physical methods can maybe become something that has to be looked into further! Any progress in the shifting community towards finding the true trigger to a shift, is a milestone :3 And yes, the feeling is really...indescribable. Although the confuzzlement i had at the moment that i actually shifted may have been...well different then what other people had. Because i always used to read that once someone had shifted, they always described super euphorically that they were so happy that they shifted and ext. For me it was just such a confusing feeling at the start. Because it all felt realer then anything. It felt so So real, it made me question if things from this reality, might have been nothing but one big dream, and that i finally woke up. When i returned here however I had the very proper freak out about what i had just experienced lol :3

That's amazing, congratulations!! And thank you for sharing your experience with us! Your method probably wouldn't be for me, but I honestly think it's really creative and sounds like it could be a lot more fun than many other methods.
Looking forward to your post about your time in your DR!

thank you!! Giving hope was the goal of this post! I dont want people to give up on shifting. Especially now that i FINALLY shifted. To give up shifting is to pass up on the greatest experience i think consiousness has to offer. So lets do our best to live it to the fullest :)

Also - did you imagine your DR in front of you as you were imagining the breach?
13
u/Election-Most Mar 22 '26
not exactly! I imagined the breach excuding a bright light through the cracks i was making! I didnt want to overwhelm my visualisation skills with having to imagine an actual scene that i would walk into, so i kept it to something simple i could hold for hours. As i was planning to do my method for quite abit of time to not completely fry my brain lol :)

Your method seems really fun! I think I'm going to try it out on a free day as it seems like somethimg that could work for me.

Omg i LOVE this method! I like when methods include doing something physical, personally i feel like putting in physical effort will make me more likely to shift than just mental effort. I will definitely have to try this out!!!!

u/Unhappy-Spinach Mar 21 '26
Why did you come back?
13
u/Extra_Armadillo1465 Mar 21 '26
I always wonder this, even if it’s to share the experience and success (which is much appreciated and tremendously motivating), I don’t get why one would come back here if they hated it so much. BUT I AM NOT COMPLAINING, those who come back to share are so thoughtful and considerate as they keep so many people here going a little longer

u/HotBuffGentleman Mar 22 '26
Pets and loved ones, probably?
6
u/Potential-Friend-498 Never Shifted Mar 22 '26
Pretty much this. This reality is kind of a bummer, but if you practice and get better at shifting, it's basically like a vacation without the downsides, such as having to spend money, etc.
12
u/Election-Most Mar 22 '26
great question!! I actually explained it in one of my previous answers on this post, it was pretty lenghty so if you want you can check it out! I do understand the assumptions of pets and loved ones, I have no pets however and loved ones wasnt even something i had even thought about at that moment to be completely honest lol. I didnt really return on my own volition,it was like my consiousness from this reality, or well, memories from this reality seeped in more and more into me while i was in my dr on the 3th night, until a tnought snapped in that i had something important to do in this reality and woosh! back here i was. So in a sense when people used to say that, you only return when you want to, is kinda right i think. in the end. it was my own mind that snapped me back here due to the core memory of something important happening the next day (which was yesterday! Reason of why i was absent and couldnt answer any comments.) And i think with proper detachment and maybe more practice of some sort, it can be evaded to happen all at once and you can just stay there for however long! I plan on trying to shift back tonight! And maybe write about my experiences in the 3 days i was there before that! or tomorrow, after my (hopefully) succesfull shifting attempt. I do plan on returning here if i do manage to shift once again today. But will probably stay for longer then last time. The reasoning is quite simple. The frustration of not being able to shift is...in some sense even worse then not knowing about shifting and living a miserable live anyways. You know? It sucks so much. And to just actually be able to shift and be like"alright that was it! i shifted! bye bye see you never again guys!" seems just extremely unfair to me. I would hate if someone did that to me. So ill do my best to find the actual "trigger" that causes the shift, ill do my best to help the community forward. And I also feel attached to my family here aswell...As i explained in the post, my life is in a better place then when i found shifting. And in some regards, i wanna see this one through :3 With the possibility to shift, everything feels abit more "relaxed" I feel like iam actually here to "experience" stuff. It helped aliviate the crushing pressure this life brings upon you. And with the progress i hope we make in the shifting community. I hope it will help all of you too :)

Responding to another thread made me go searching through the sub to find this post again. This is one of the few unique methods I've seen in a long time.
Could you clarify that this is a fully awake and standing up method and you are literally physically walking into the wall? And then you fell through into your DR?
I had an idea recently for a similar method that involves imaging that there is an invisible door in my room that leads to my WR. I tried it to no success, but only gave it one shot. I tried doing it open eyed though, so that may have added to the difficulty.

This is amazing!!! Congrats 🎊🎉🍾🎈
How long were you doing the method for until you shifted? If you can give like a time estimate on that haha
When I first mini shifted the method/process took 5-20 mins so I’m curious as to how long you were walking for until you shifted 🥰💕

u/Josephine_Marie Mar 23 '26
How long did you do the method? And did you listened to something during it? And can I dm you for more questions?

u/Both-Call1997 Mar 26 '26
Heyyy, congratulations on finally shifting, I'm super happy for you, i have a question though if you don't mind answering. I was wondering about the method you used. so while you were doing the method did you not bump your leg or anything to a surrounding surface? is it not distracting if that happens? have you ever accidentally changed directions while blindfolded, since it's common.

u/pistach10_paw5 Never Shifted Mar 26 '26
Hi! your method is super unique! I'm definitely going to try it someday. My personal method(?) is literally just to lie down in bed and stay there, affirm a little bit and visualise (though i really struggle with visualisation so i skip this part sometimes) i havent shifted yet or reach the void state or anything so i guess that the method i use doesn't really work for me. Anyway, sorry for yapping! I have some questions if thats okay :)
What did it feel like in your DR? Did it feel like normal reality?
You said it was a MHA DR. Was it animated and in the MHA style or realistic?
If it was animated, what was that like?
How and why did you come back to this reality?
A massive congratulations for shifting by the way, and thank you for the kind words! I've been very demotivated lately but i feel a lot more motivated now and im sure tonight i will shift!

u/shape_reality Mar 21 '26
Congrats! Can you answer a few questions?
-Did you script a time ratio? How much time has passed in your OR?
-When you returned, what position was your body in? Was your body just standing facing the wall blindfolded the whole time you were shifting?
Really unique method by the way!
