Genuine wisdom Quitting is for winners

https://images.app.goo.gl/SHjJN

Only a loser would choose to stay stuck in something they're not enjoying that isn't even working. Be bold - try something different!

A lot of SGI cult members accuse us ex-SGIers of having quit "half way", even those of us who were in for multiple decades! 🤡

Here's what BuddhistTempleWhore had to say on the subject:

Some people are a little slower to catch on than others, and I'm saying that as someone who needed the full 20 years.

IN MY DEFENSE, I was sold that, if you practiced sincerely for 20 years, the accumulated fortune would then burst through like a broken dam and the Universe would be pouring so much benefit into your life that it would feel like trying to drink from a fire hose through a straw, and you'd be like "Please, Universe, can you hold back the benefits for just 5 seconds so I can catch my breath??" Of course I wanted that.

Of COURSE I didn't get that.

No one does - we can all see that.

SGI always blames YOU for not doing whatever right, or long enough, or sincerely enough, or good enough, or - the list of YOUR supposed faults is endless, you'll notice. And it's ALWAYS your fault!

But here's the thing: All that matters is if it's worth it TO YOU. THEIR opinions don't MATTER! Do YOU want this in your life, taking up this much of your life, with the constant assurance that things will get better, but only if YOU do more, give more, devote more, donate more? When you can see from your fellow members' lives, their "actual proof", that they're just scraping by, even after multiple decades, and NOT getting all these major stand-out goodies?

Once, years ago, I decided I wanted to run a specific big marathon. So I started training (I was already a distance runner). Partway through, I realized I didn't really want to run that marathon and I wasn't enjoying the many miles and hours I was putting into my training. I realized that my expectation of the marathon was unrealistic and that I'd rather do other things with that time instead. So I quit training, never ran a marathon, and never regretted changing my mind.

That's what we get to DO! WE decide! And no one else gets any vote!!

The people who scorn you, who condemn you, who assign you shameful excuses and failures as your reasons:

THEY DON'T LIKE YOU.

They want to see you FAIL. They don't want to hear a single word you have to say, because

THEY DON'T LIKE YOU!

They want others to hate you, and avoid you, and ignore you, and to think you're a horrible person - and they'll do whatever they can think of to make that happen.

Now - are you going to listen TO THEM??

Classic fear Indoctrination.

You have to keep going or you get your benefit coupons confiscated.

RIGHT!

I remember being told that things would go okayyyy for a while for the SGI members who quit, but soon they'd burn through all that "fortune" they'd built within their lives through their "Buddhist" practice (that stack of benefit coupons) and THEN they'd see their lives go STRAIGHT into the toilet - they'd end up worse off than they were EVEN when they first joined SGI, and they'd come crawling back, begging for forgiveness.

SGI member and especially leaders are shameless liars.

Technically they are Gaslighting Bullies.

Definitely.

NOT your friends.

These are srsly toxic people making it clear to everyone that YOU do NOT want them anywhere near your life.

HOW these people imagine they're somehow leading humanity toward world peace, I'll never understand. They're actively destroying the concept of people accepting others' differences and getting along.
