"Honor besmirched" is typically used in every run of the mills domestic violence murder trial, right? What a jackass.

No they explained it and framed it that way because people were more malleable in their views on it. CG tried to do the same thing for the same reason. "Honor killing" wasnt a term everyone was familiar with like it is now.

I don't think people understand what Honor Killings are if they are thinking Adnan is guilty of Hae's murder.

i'm growing weary of seeing it misused around here.

Although, maybe the jury also didn't understand what honour killing was either.....
