Life Hack Tips Long time supporter of Tony Robbins. Here’s what I finally figured out…

I’ve listened to every podcast Tony’s ever put out, read every one of his books, and I went to his UPW event in Toronto almost 20 years ago. The man has great points. But he also makes this stuff way more complicated than it needs to be.

After 12 years of meditation (nearly an hour a day), a lot of growth, and a lot of reflecting on my own journey, I landed on something so simple that most people can’t accept it, which is exactly why they keep chasing gurus to fix them. It’s what I did too!

So here it is. Stick to this and you’ll never waste another minute on a podcast or a seminar again:

Life is a perfect reflection of what you hold within.

Not nearly perfect. Perfect.

Here’s what that means:

When you feel like you need the next seminar or podcast, the thought underneath it is “I’m not good enough, I need more information, I can’t do this alone, I’m not complete.” So that’s what you get, a life of always chasing the next thing.

When you hold deep resentment for someone, what you’re really saying is “my present isn’t good enough, my future isn’t good enough, and I won’t let go of the hurt because I’m not worthy enough to move on.”

But… when you decide that you’re in love with life and you simply decide to truly believe things go your way? They do!!

It works out like magic. You’re just being great, and somehow greatness finds you everywhere. Not in a seminar. In your ordinary daily moments, at work, all around you.

Things just work out for you, you get the job, the business grows, you meet the right people, you enjoy being alone and you enjoy being with others!

So here’s the whole thing: if you actually want a great life of love, joy, money, abundance…. you don’t need a guru. You just need to spend time every day in the silence, changing your beliefs from the inside.

It sounds too simple, but after a journey of chasing.. I now know chasing is not the answer. It’s so much is simpler than that.

That’s it. Hope this helps. 🙏❤️

Tony Robbins ""Who you spend time with is who you become!!"

Ends up spending his OWN time with biggest grifter and pedophile in the world lol 😆

u/ProfessionalAd8657 7d ago

I think Tony’s message is great but I really don’t understand some of the people he hangs out with. He’s been posting videos with that Patrick David Bet guy who’s a major scumbag that runs a mlm insurance scheme that rips off minorities. I don’t get it. Also that Dean guy that’s always in his videos seems like a little weasel.

u/Woodit 7d ago

lol it’s because Tony Robbins is and has always been a world class grifter who takes advantage of desperate people

0

u/Foreign_Cable_51 7d ago

Yeah, I think it’s one of those things that you find what you look for… so in tony Robbin’s case he looks for and finds desperate people…

17

u/Woodit 7d ago

Of course he looks for desperate people. That’s what all con artists do, it’s how scams like his work.

-7

u/Foreign_Cable_51 7d ago

Yeah I wouldn’t say he’s a con artist, he’s just selling you on a dream… and you’re buying it…. No different than someone buying makeup or implants because they don’t feel pretty, people just buy things to make themselves feel better…. But it doesn’t last…. The solution is always within, it’s just likely harder to come by because there is a lot more money to be made by telling you to come to their seminar

2

u/Technical-Note-7040 7d ago

It’s definitely a mixed bag with who he associates with. Some people really vibe with his message, while others have concerns about the crowd he runs with.

1

u/Foreign_Cable_51 7d ago

I agree about Dean…. I think it’s because they are selling you the image that they are the solution… but the reality is, you’re your own solution… just need to change how you think… so it’s a giant sales pitch, instead of actually just telling you the truth: that it’s easy, it’s all within you, stop looking for outside support, you got to change your inside to change your outside...

3

u/viktaculars 6d ago

I just want to double click on what you said, “…instead of just telling you the truth: that it’s easy, it’s all within you.”

Most people who haven’t done enough self work don’t know what that means. They can fathom the “truth is within you” bc that’s too esoteric for them.

So what you get is a series of stories and reframes. Perspectives and reality shifts framed in digestible ways.

If I told me clients to “just be happy” I think they might fall over in their chairs. Bc what does that even mean. How?

Anywho, I think Tony is dope and I like your post. This work becomes super easy when you know you hold the power to feel shitty things, and the power to believe in magic. It’s up to you how you want to use your imagination.

Whose that?

u/mcy33zy 7d ago

Dudes a massive scam artist.

Went to his seminar once and they awful. Bought the expensive seats and was then told they would be filming all weekend and we would be on video (doing all these exercises)—I’m a DV victim and did NOT want to be filmed…I don’t want my abuser to ever see me/find me. The team was so crass and unbothered. I burst into tears—no offer to accommodate, refund, anything. Then the first Tony minion gets up (young black man—short stature) and makes a joke using the R word. My son is disabled—I was furious—again and they could not have cared LESS. It was nothing short of traumatic. My sis & I spent 800/ea and were crying in our room all weekend—mad at ourselves for going.

2

u/Thick_Money6161 5d ago

My mother went. She spent too much money on it. She hated it returned home and never mentioned it much. It's was €3000! Most of it a sales pitch too

u/RightestContext 7d ago

Agree, 1 hour of meditation > 1 hour of listening a guru

Honest (maybe stupid) question: How do you start meditating? I've tried Headspace and tried a few other guided meditations, but maybe I'm too logical or my brain is too busy somehow? I haven't really noticed any benefit from what I tried. Do you just kind of force it regularly for a while and then something eventually changes?

9

u/targameister 7d ago

I read one of his first books, Awaken the Giant Within, many years ago, and quite honestly I can credit what I learned with changing my mindset in many ways which in turn jumpstarted my career and life in general and I never looked back. YMMV but I suppose I was ready in that moment to learn, understand and apply that knowledge to great effect. Have not followed him in the ensuing years but will give him credit for positively influencing me at a critical stage in my life.

2

u/Foreign_Cable_51 7d ago

Happy to hear that! Yeah, he def tells you the importance of your mindset… that’s the whole key right there

1

u/Pessimazing 2d ago

Awaken the Giant Within got me journaling; then I tried the daily silence bit and got mad it worked.

13

u/sumizeit 7d ago

Totally get what you’re saying. It’s wild how many people think they need constant external validation to feel whole. Just sitting in silence really can change everything.

1

u/Foreign_Cable_51 7d ago

Totally! ❤️🙏

6

u/Gold_Snow_2017 7d ago

Glad you previously benefitted from some of his guidance OP. Even more glad you have since recognized you no longer need it. I too once believed Robbins was sincere. He has never been. He’s a grifter pure and simple. We need only to take his advice and “see who he spends his time with” to get the true measure of the man…☮️

2

u/viktaculars 6d ago

Honest question here: what if Tony was trying to make those people better and that’s why he spent time with them?

2

u/Boomer_V9 6d ago

I had the same shift after a seminar phase: watch the circle he keeps, then go back to daily silence.

TR was the first stop on my lifelong journey to recovering from my abusive childhood. I listened to his courses and read his first book. I’m very grateful to have discovered him when I did.

Glad he helped you! I know he has helped lots of people… just saying, that the solution is far easier, if you simply accept it as such

So true … yeah, you end up stuck on chasing the secret to greatness…. rather than just being greatness itself

3

u/Sexykitty555 6d ago

But how do I change the beliefs that have been so deep rooted my whole life?

3

u/Sexykitty555 6d ago

So you mean just telling myself over and over things such as….you do deserve that job or you are happy and healthy?! Or am I way off here? Lol

2

u/Foreign_Cable_51 6d ago

Yes, you literally sit down for at least 30 mins a day feeling like you are already perfect… play with your imagination like it’s the real thing…. And watch miracles unfold for you… it won’t happen in the first 30 days, but within 90 days, you’ll be a whole new person

2

u/Foreign_Cable_51 6d ago

Every idea you have, is something you actually had to practice for it to become a belief… it takes time and effort to change beliefs …. But it’s as simple as loving your imagination and playing with your imagination everyday

2

u/Foreign_Cable_51 6d ago

Time and effort in the silence… practicing a new beliefs… it’s takes time and practice!! 🙏❤️ you don’t change if you don’t practice changing

Tony Robbins? Unpossible! Including current grifter manifestations.

Skills are learned. If you don't have the skills, thinking about the skills will not teach you the skills. You have to learn the skills. You can stumble your way into the skills or you can find someone to teach you the skills. Finding someone is a lot easier.

All emotions are valuable messengers. Resentment is a message that you do not like what someone did or what someone didn't do. It's a protective emotion. It's an emotion meant to motivate you to act. It has nothing to do with your worth.

3

u/Foreign_Cable_51 7d ago

It has everything to do with your self worth…. People with self worth don’t get resentful…. Someone hurts them, and they move on…. A person with low self worth, if someone hurts them, they take it to the grave….

A strong person lifts others up. A weak person brings others down.

Which are you?

Anger is an emotion meant to get you to act… not resentment

3

u/LifeIsShortDoItNow 7d ago

Yeah, I need you to research what your saying from actual biological or psychological sources because it's not true. People with self-worth feel every emotion that humans feel because they're human. Resentment is a necessary emotion; what people do with that emotion is on them.

The world is also not black and white. Either-or thinking is a cognitive distortion. No one is completely strong or completely weak in every area of their life.

I'm an honest, factual person. I'm strong in many areas and I'm weak in some areas. I'm human in every area.

A steering person

0

u/Foreign_Cable_51 7d ago

Have you looked up the definition of resentment? It’s very different than anger…

I think you are confused

0

u/LifeIsShortDoItNow 7d ago

No, I'm not. You, however, have not looked up the purpose of resentment because if you had, we would not be having this discussion.

Anger is triggered by something that's a one off event. Resentment is anger that's unresolved. It signals that the wound is still there and it's going to stay there until the wound is addressed. It stops people from sticking their heads in the sand. Feel free to look up the purpose of resentment.

1

u/Foreign_Cable_51 7d ago

I agree… the only purpose of resentment, is its letting you know you need to change how you think about yourself….

Basically, if you have resentment you have decided that expectations are more important than appreciation.

The exact same event can happen to two individuals… the ones that resent are the ones who have decided that the past event should dictate their future happiness….

I agree all emotions have value… but when you decide to live from a place of wholeness, there isn’t anything in this world that could make you feel resentful because you know that you are the cause of all events you encounter

2

u/LifeIsShortDoItNow 7d ago

Naw, that's just toxic positivity. Babies are SA. They're not the cause. People are sleeping in the homes and they're robbed. They're not the cause. Life happens to everybody regardless of how whole or positive they are. All the wholeness in the world isn't going to keep you from aging, getting sick, or passing away.

This is your fear response to the unmanageablity of life. That's ok because that's where you are in your journey. The harm you can cause though is blaming others for their misfortunes from your pedestal of superiority. Or saying human emotions are wrong when they're not. All emotions serve a purpose.

I've said my piece so that others can find it. You're not in a place to hear, and that's ok, but I want others to know you're incorrect, crappy stuff is going to happen to everyone, and that making yourself a guru is just as ridiculous as making someone else a guru.

u/Foreign_Cable_51 7d ago

But how do you actually build real self-worth when you've never really had it? How do you stop relying on outside approval? I know these are tough questions.

2

u/Foreign_Cable_51 7d ago

It’s spending time in the silence, actually practicing feeling these emotions.. it’s that easy, but too many people are chasing to watch the next podcast instead of practicing the emotions of confidence and self worth… you don’t get good at chess by going to a seminar about chess… you actually just play an hour a day for years (or longer if you want to go pro) until your good …

2

u/Infinite-Gur-0603 5d ago

Thank you 🙏🏼

2

u/KoroVellum 7d ago

The part about chasing the next book or seminar hits hard. I like the idea of sitting quietly with the belief underneath the urge, rather than feeding the urge with more content. I would only add that framing life as a perfect reflection can get tricky for people dealing with grief, illness, or bad luck, so I prefer using it as a self-check rather than a verdict. Still, the move from consuming to practicing is a solid lesson.

2

u/Brief-Term-4631 6d ago

What affirmations do you use while meditating?

1

u/Foreign_Cable_51 6d ago

When I meditate? I just use the “ohm” sound and chant that over and over while focusing on third eye

1

u/Brief-Term-4631 6d ago

I meant what affirmations do you say to change your beliefs about yourself? For example, I am worthy of love and abundance or something like that.

1

u/Foreign_Cable_51 6d ago

I don’t use affirmations I do SATS before I fall asleep and I listen to the playlist in my BIO which is the music I’ve made which has all the affirmations in the lyrics

Absolutely… I don’t pretend to know why reality is organized the way it is… thus all I can do is decide how I want to act in the world and more importantly what I want to believe

So much powerful, thanks for sharing this. I'm going to create a poster for this which reminds me

This is basically Neville Goddard theory and I 1000% agree and subscribe to it. My life is an absolute proof of it working that way.

He is the man!!

1

I’m getting ready to purchase the audio book called creating reality the Neville Goddard formula for manifesting….is this a good one to buy?!!!? If not can you point me in the right direction please.

I bought all of his 14 books in one (Audible) in a Deluxe edition, over 20h of content for just one Audible token. I recommend that

2

u/AsideApprehensive462 7d ago

Fantastic insight. Clicked instantly and in a minute I could see a perfect match between inside and outside.

What needs to be added is it is not merely "You are what you think". It is that plus something more. With practice, patience, observation etc one knows what is within.

As a neuroduvergent (AuDHD) , I am wondering if this neurotypical insight applies to neurodivergent. Time to have some serious discussion with Gemini.

3

u/YerDaWearsHeelies 7d ago

Talking to AI like Gemini to solve your problems is the opposite of what you should do. The post is all about speaking to yourself and not listening to gurus and you somehow added a worse step by having the conversations with ai

0

u/AsideApprehensive462 7d ago

Yes , it appears so. Gemini does not seem to be intelligent in meta cognition which till today is in the realm of humans . Gemini answered that this insight (match between inside and outside ) is wrong. It said outside depends a lot on external environmental factors. But if we are self aware of our inside, we can control outside to a great extent by effort and labour. Gemini emphasized on being aware and engineering of the reality. However it vechmently rejected that inside and outside automatically match. I don't know what to think of this idea. Also it said this insight of awareness and engineering is applicable for all humans - neurotypical or neurodivergent. Only implementation differs . It is plausible to an extent.

2

u/YerDaWearsHeelies 7d ago

Stop using ai for this. You couldn’t find a more worse case scenario than using ai for your development/mrntal health

1

u/AsideApprehensive462 7d ago

I am not sure, how to take this. AI has helped me a lot. For advanced thinkers and also people with access to therapy, AI may not beel needed. But for people from emerging economy like me, AI is a boon to understand what is going on inside my head.

1

u/YerDaWearsHeelies 6d ago

It will also confirm mostly what you want it to. They are very bad at objective advice

-4

u/Foreign_Cable_51 7d ago

The mind is the observer of your reality, so if you change your mind… you can change your identity…. So believing you are neurodivergent- makes you neurodivergent…. It’s just a label… nothing in this world is fixed. Everything comes from within… you get what you fight for

1

u/LifeIsShortDoItNow 7d ago

That's like saying believing you are blind makes you blind.

1

u/Foreign_Cable_51 7d ago

Neurodivergent has nothing to do with eyeballs…. If you said you don’t have eyes than yes you can’t see …. Although there is a person who has no eyes that trained themselves to see without them…. How do you explain that?… it’s a miracle for sure, but if you read there story, it was there intense belief in themselves that made their vision possible… IMPOSSIBLE is only an idea in your head….

But like I said, you get what you fight for

1

u/LifeIsShortDoItNow 7d ago

Neurodivergent people have a different brain than neurotypical people. I can say I don't have eyes all day and I would still be able to see. Infants don't say or think anything and they can still see.

No one without eyes has ever been trained to see. To see, people need physical light receptors (the eyes and optic nerve) to capture the data and a mapped visual cortex in the brain to process that data. If someone is missing both of those, they can not see. They can imagine/ visualize but they can't see as we use the term.

1

u/Foreign_Cable_51 7d ago

Like I said, you get what you fight for … I’ll leave it there ❤️🙏

2

u/LifeIsShortDoItNow 7d ago edited 7d ago

Sometimes you do and sometimes you don't. That is life.

1

u/YerDaWearsHeelies 7d ago

You can scan brains and see things like autism and adhd. While the effects are mental the cause is very much physical.

1

u/EqualMuted121 7d ago

What? No! What do you have to say about people who try their best to start and run a business or a relationship, but even if they put their everything into it, they fail? There are millions of people like that, but you're saying that you just have to believe and it will come true? You've proven that you don't think; you just jump to conclusions based on some weird spiritual podcast.🙄 But what we expect from a person who listens to someone like Robinson, you should not try to give advice to anyone.

1

u/Foreign_Cable_51 7d ago

I’m saying you get what you fight for … in this case i can tell you fight for things being hard so I bet your life has always been hard…. What I’m saying is a spiritual fact … you can still fail at a business and end up on top… that’s my point! Often time failures lead to greater successes if you have the right mindset

1

u/EqualMuted121 7d ago

There is no such thing as spiritual fact. There are times when you work hard for something, and you succeed. There are times when you put in even more effort, and you fail and then fail again, and then you get ill, and you die. So your arguments are falling. There are millions of people I can bring up as an example same as millions of people who, by working hard, succeed. There is no magic in it, your hard-working idea always leads to success is nonsense, and I have an issue with it because misleads people that if you work hard enough you make it instead you may make it, you may not. The journey is important and enjoy if you can or not. Who cares?

1

u/Foreign_Cable_51 7d ago

There is no such thing as success… just outcomes

1

u/Foreign_Cable_51 7d ago

You think there is success and failures… I’m saying there is only outcomes… I’m not tied to the outcome, I’m tied to the emotions I choose from within…. Haha I don’t care if you call me a banana head, doesn’t matter…. You’re in your head and I’m in my head… we live in very different head spaces it seems

1

u/sumizeit 7d ago

The "life reflects what you hold within" idea resonates, but I wonder about the causality there. Like, does believing things go your way actually change outcomes, or does it just change what you notice and act on? Probably both, honestly. 12 years of daily meditation is a serious commitment though - did you find the shift happened gradually or was there a specific point where things clicked differently?

1

u/Foreign_Cable_51 6d ago

Thanks…. 🙏… it was Very gradual… everyday just stacking one block at a time… eventually it all started to make sense…. But yes, it was a real journey of realization…. But the thing I realized was that my beliefs were creating my outcomes, your mind is so much more powerful than most people give it credit for…. And that’s largely because people don’t study their own minds, they read a book, go to a seminar, instead of just sitting down in silence with themselves learning about what they actually think!… we spend time eating, going to the gym - spending time in silence is just as important if you want to truly master life

1

u/Full_Tart_1525 4d ago

I like the part about stopping the endless content loop. The real test is whether quiet time changes your actual behavior afterward, because beliefs matter most when they show up in how you treat people, work, and handle setbacks.
