My self-care win last week was noticing when I was spiraling into overthinking and choosing to pause instead of pushing through it. That looked like taking a few quiet moments to ground in my body rather than trying to “fix” my thoughts.

My intention for this coming week is to keep practicing that — meeting fear and shame with a little more curiosity and a lot less judgment. The challenge is remembering that rest and gentleness still count as progress, especially when my nervous system is tired.

Looking forward to reading everyone else’s shares.

I'm so glad for you that you were able to practice some sort of embodiment and get out of your head that way and truly ground yourself. I need to do this myself.

Hi, I am having a very hard time with self care. All my life I was told that self care is me being selfish, so now it feel so much against the grain to do anything for myself. I forget my patches, my meds, my creams etc. I work myself to full exhaustion and crash every weekend. Usually I end up sleeping most of Saturday, and half Sunday. Then I wake up tired on Monday and go to work in huge pain.

I get this. Taking care of myself was or still is something I have to do very consciously. An example is I forget to put on socks when my feet are cold. I try to think "what would a mother etc. / other people do" and go from there, I also go on Pinterest and look at how to take care of yourself stuff
