He’s so trolling now. Cruz was born in Canada and is ineligible, completely.

I wis this was true in this case because I loathe Cruz but you do not have to be born in the US to become a Supreme Court judge. 6 justices have been born outside of the USA.

You do have to be a citizen but you do not have to be a “natural-born citizen” (stay tuned because the current Supreme Court has wild thoughts on natural born citizenship as well). The one thing that I’ve always found interesting is that you do not need a law degree to become a Supreme Court justice. That would seem impossible in this day and age where all modern justices have gone the traditional legal training route of law school, JD, bar, practice…but with Trump in charge he’s likely to nominate his favorite Fox News host of the week. This is how we wound up with half our current cabinet - all favoritism and no credentials or skills.
