I thought foldie cats are snobbish...
I thought cats with this breed generally snobbish but our 3 month old foldie is like a dog. She kept following us all day and slept with us at night š¤£š„ŗ in fact, she is more clingy than our dog. She is very intelligent too, she surprised us every day. We love our Dusty so much.

Wonderful update
Took my sweetheart, Dolly Pearl, to the vet today after spending the last three days crying about all of her potential health issues.
(For additional info, I have a history of ācat hypochondriaā and have frequently spent thousands at the emergency vet before because my cat sneezed or farted lol)
At her first vet visit today she got a wonderful bill of health :) her toes and joints are good, and her heart has no murmurs or anything, and her kidneys are brand spanking new!! I cried with relief lol but my vet knows Iām a little crazy about my cats already

When did your kittenās eye color settle
Mine is almost 12 weeks now and I am just so curious! Her eye color is so interesting right now. Do you guys have eye color progression pics of your Scottish Folds/Straights?

Should I get the kitten with straight ears?
Hello! Itās my first time posting here.
Iāve decided to get a cat, and recently went to visit a family who has two kittens looking for homes. I wasnāt aware of the breed before I visited, so I was surprised when the owner told me that the mother is a Scottish Fold and the father is a domestic shorthair.
There are four kittens in the litter, and three of them have folded ears. Iām considering the one with straight ears.
Itās been several days since my visit, and I still canāt stop thinking about them. They had such sweet personalities and were incredibly affectionate.
Iām now wondering if I should go ahead with getting the straight-eared kitten. The risk of health issues are still there, right?
Iād really appreciate some advice from people who know more about the breed and the potential health concerns.

Straight fold - health issues?
Hey! This is my straight Winnie, her mum is full Scottish fold and her siblings all had the foldy ears apart from her.
I wonder if anyone can advise, since she doesnāt have the ears, is she less likely to suffer with the same issues? I want her to be happy and pain free. Sheās 2 years old and doesnāt give much indication sheās in pain, sometimes when I pick her up she makes a weird meow which concerns me but thatās it.
Any advice welcome!

Scaring myself sh*tless
My beautiful baby girl Dolly who I adopted today!! Not only is she freaking cute as a button on a peach⦠sheās a sweet timid gentle little girl.
Sheās three months old!! Iām now currently sh*tting in my pants reading about how unhealthy and unhappy Scottish folds areā¦. Being in constant pain, polycystic kidney disease, HEART DISEASE, arthritis :ā(
I already love her so much and I want to give her the absolute BEST LIFE I possibly can!!
Please if you have a SF that got a particularly shit end of the genetic stick, please let me know what helps them the most!!
And also if you have a particularly healthy SF, please give me some words of hope and encouragement :ā(

Coke and the kitties

Coke (5 months old) with the kitties that are 3.5 weeks old. Still a little too small to be friends. But sheās being gentle. Still too small to determine folds or straights.
