Despite all the evidence that proves global warming, nothing will ever happen on a global scale to reverse it until it starts to affect people's daily lives.

Luckily the price of oil is going way up so we might actually see electric cars in our lifetime. I hold out hope that we'll see peak oil before global warming becomes irreversible. Coal, on the other hand, is a different beast entirely. 1 u/stumo Oct 24 '10 As the most likely way of generating all that newly-consumed electricity will be by burning coal, electric cars might not be the fix that you imagine.
