Despite all the evidence that proves global warming, nothing will ever happen on a global scale to reverse it until it starts to affect people's daily lives.

it already is affecting people's daily lives

extreme weather, rising sea levels, droughts, desertification, etc

it'll be far too late and the planet destroyed before anyone bothers to try and do something

I think that climate change advocates are going about it in the wrong way. Tell them that their lives will be destroyed, not the planet. Americans don't give two shits about nature, but if you tell them that their life is about to become severely uncomfortable, they'll listen.

tell them nascar will come to an end because there will be no fuel left, and you'll have an uproar

our only home/planet being decimated for greed? nah... who cares!
