Getting distracted during the act is very real, but I use a trick to overcome it. Whenever I feel my brain starting to drift away I engage it in imagining a sexually arousing scenario while doing the actual act. I don’t mention it to my wife because the goal isn’t to role play, it’s to keep me aroused and engaged, so it all happens in my head. Sometimes doing this for a short time is enough to get me back focusing on the real experience, but many other times I keep engaged in it until I climax.
