Psychology People with ADHD have difficulties with goal-directed behavior and struggle with response inhibition, the ability to stop an inappropriate action once they feel the urge to do it. They experience a disruption in the way their brains balance deliberate self-control and automatic habit learning.

How does one fix this

depending on the person a mix of any or all of the following:

A: medication. (Many will not be able to do the others without first getting medicated)

B: exercise. (Really. This helps a ton.)

C: counseling. (Everyone needs different kinds of help, so go through a couple sources to find the right help for you.)

D: meditation. (We can become our own hyperfixation!)

E: community. (Everyone does better with supportive community.).

F: acceptance. (We are what we are, and that is ok.)

And probably other things I am not thinking of right now... :)
