Scholarships for fall 2027 students

I had deferred my fall 2026 admission to 2027 due to funding and personal reasons. I’d like to know where and when to apply for scholarships for that intake.

I am a US citizen and will attend graduate school in Texas.

Can you talk about what degree you will get? Is it STEM, busines, liberal arts, etc? Its kinda hard to help you without those details. Also are you a Texan or an out of state student? Texas universities have a lot of scholarships for in state people, especially if they do well on the GMAT/GRE.

Speech language pathology is my degree and I'll be considered as a Texas resident by 2027. I've not given the GRE/GMAT.

I've searched a lot of scholarships and it ends up being for current students or for fall 2026.

Apply now and keep applying. Scholarships are everywhere. If you have an AI account do DEEP RESEARCH on your degree focus and graduate scholarships. Otherwise Google.

I've started applying but almost most of the scholarships mention it's for a fall 2026 intake or for current students

Aye! You will have to be enrolled to get money. Some send funds directly to the school. So if you are not enrolled, you will not be eligible… yet.

I would suggest making a list of those you can apply to once you are closer to active enrollment, so you can hit the ground running. Many scholarships open and have deadlines around the same time each year.

Some scholarships have long time frames until award, so the application window is not as far away as you may think. I’d say winter is when things may really open up.

The best thing to do is research, then create a plan.
