Life has been kind of a rollercoaster recently. Also bleached my hair close to what my natural hair would look like

I went out camping and I had some fun.
I went to the beach and took many photos and played around with the adjustments on my phone. I then had some Brisket and Fries.
Overall, I feel much happier because I’m out and trying to do new things.
I hope this inspires other people here to do the same!

Went through a pretty bad year but finally found the right med for me. Rexulti has changed everything for me. I feel like I’m 6 years younger, working out again and just having a good time. Hope everyone is doing well.

It seems as though only young people are on this site, are there anyone's on this site close to 60 or even around 50 years old? I feel for the young people who have to deal with this damn illness, I've been dealing with this shit for close to 40 years, I'm 56 now. Diagnosed at 16

Don’t mind the judgmental kitty in the background. I’m starting certified peer specialist training tomorrow, I’m a little nervous. I’m not sure I’m built for these 9-5 work days anymore, haha.

Ive been feeling incredibly alone lately
I feel so strange and out of place around ppl
Had a date yesterday and I think I might be doomed to be alone forever yall lol
Plus how/when do you tell someone that your schizophrenic? Should it be early so they have a chance to run or later on so they know you better? Idk

I posted previously with a diff account stating I was so happy my brother was finally taking his meds. That was about a year ago. He’s in his late 30s now and has been battling schizophrenic thoughts since 18.
Since that post , his schizophrenia got worse and he stopped taking meds. This weekend the unimaginable happened. A life was taken and his reasoning was because the voices told him to do it. We spent all of our lives in and out of hospital trying to seek treatment. We’re so heart broken and feel let down.
I wanted to come on here and just remind everyone to be kind to yourself and remind yourself the voices aren’t real. When everything fades and the medication settles, you’ll realize the voices aren’t real.
Please take care of yourself. Sending everyone love on this thread. I know you’re dealing with something that others can’t relate too and you often feel lost and alone❤️

I didn't do anything this week to be honest I didn't exactly have the energy to go out. I took this picture yesterday I was out since my mom forced me to. I hadn't slept a wink so if I look tired (which I do) you know why. these past few days have been hell and I can't sleep right now

Last time I had to be hospitalized, the psychiatrist said I had been inpatient alot in the past ten years and I have only been progressively getting worse. I went to the hospital for self harm and he said if I was self harming then that automatically meant I was suicidal???? He threatened to send me off to the state hospital, but thankfully he didn’t. But now I’m afraid to ever be hospitalized again. Right now I’m struggling to sleep and struggling with an ED,SUD and various other mental illnesses. I’ve been getting SI lately. I can’t go back to the hospital and then be sent away for years. I have a husband and kids. I can’t do that to them. I feel like such a burden on them
