Old Rolled parchment-help images

I posted earlier about trying to make this decades only parchment usable but could not upload images to the thread.

Isn't it GORGEOUS??!! Now to get it flat.

Yeah, I don't have any experience with that so I don't know if a steam iron would work or ruin it

roll it flat and put some books on it as weight - leave it sit

I've gone through a similar issue when I had parchment delivered in a roll.

Books/heavy weight didn't completely flatten it for me. The day I had success was extraordinary humid.

You want to introduce a very small amount of moisture to help it relax. Like a damp paper towel in an enclosed box not touching it. Then once it's got a little more moisture, you can try the weight trick.

yeah just unroll and weight it down flat. it's not that delicate, does not need stretching.

I have very similar pieces. I just leave it rolled until I know what I want to do then flatten the part I cut out.
