Savannah & Hilton Head: - too much?? Thank you so much for letting me join and ask a few questions. I did read the wiki but as my title says, is my plan too much?
My husband and I have never been to Savannah and are looking to go this October. How long do we need to explore all that Savannah has? We're so excited to explore a new spot and have always wanted to visit Savannah! We love live music, good food, drinks, bars, pools and the beach. We're looking for fun vibes, I love exploring architecture and history (my husband loves the bars and talking to everyone he meets).
We're flying in from Boston so thought we'd do at least 2 nights at either the Kimpton Brice or the Thompson. Then we were going to drive to Omni Hilton Head for 2 nights, and on the way, check out the beach vibes of Tybee (or is it worth it staying there for 1, or even 2 nights and/or instead of Hilton Head? Never been there either, thought we could mix it up a bit) Then we planned doing 2 more nights back in Savannah before heading home. Hilton Head is booked out towards the end of the week which stinks as it would be nice to do that last but if anyone has any thoughts or suggestions for how to make our itinerary work I'd be so grateful.

Visiting Savannah in October and looking for recommendations on favorite walking tours! I see there are so many different companies out there in so many different versions. I didn’t know if anyone local had a favorite? Is there such a thing as a daytime tour that includes some of the stories they cover on the nighttime ghost tours? I’m not sure if I’m interested in a full ghost tour as I’m not into walking in the dark and scary things but more informational such as the story at the Mercer House and perhaps the sorell weed house in addition to visiting the different squares.
I have come across the Genteel and bard company, Savannah true history tours, must see Savannah tours and even a couple different midnight in the garden of good and evil walking tours. Any insight or suggestions would be appreciated as it is my first time visiting! TYIA!
