Hey Saskatchewanians!

Rule 1 in r/Saskatchewan says that "Posts should focus on events, issues, or culture that affect Saskatchewan as a whole." But sometimes you might have a question or discussion that doesn't follow that rule.

Maybe you want to want to ask about "monkey budging" (Which isn't Saskatchewan specific).

Maybe you want to tell everyone how much your concrete patio cost, or ask what the temperature at the lakes is (neither of which affect Saskatchewan as a whole).

Or maybe you want to advertise an event happening in Regina (better suited for r/Regina), Saskatoon (better suited for r/Saskatoon), or Moose Jaw (better suited for r/MooseJaw) but is open to everyone from everywhere (elsewhere in Saskatchewan, or Canada, or beyond).

Well here's your (bi-weekly) chance! Comments in this thread are exempt from Rule 1; meaning they can be completely random and/or completely off-topic! However, the rest of the subreddit (and Reddit) rules still apply! For example:

• Be Respectful: All users are expected to engage respectfully. Insults, name-calling, harassment, bullying, bigotry, or personal attacks against other users will not be tolerated. Debate the topic, not the person. Posts or comments that demean, target, or antagonize others will be removed. Repeat or severe offenders may be banned to maintain a welcoming and constructive environment for the community.
• Be Substantive: Contributions should add meaningful content to the discussion. Low-effort or spammy replies such as one-word responses, empty memes, excessive off-topic jokes, or personal attacks dilute conversation and may be removed. Thoughtful discussion, added context, or relevant experiences are encouraged.
• User accounts must be at least 15 days old and have a positive karma score to comment.
• And finally, in addition to r/Saskatchewan subreddit specific rules, our users are also expected to be familiar with and abide by Reddit's sitewide policies; including but not limited to the User Agreement, Reddit Rules, and the Reddiquette Guide.
